It's not that...it's the way you stated it, as if something was wrong with the kid because you hadn't heard from him. If you had just said, "Does anyone know if he's on campus and/or on the team?" no one would have said anything. But to come out and say, "What's going on here?" makes it sound as if he did something wrong or that you expected him to play right away. Thus the reaction...

Sorry for the delay. I missed you're response way back when. When the story made the headlines (the child part, not the Reagan hatin' part) I thought "Hmmm, I seem to recall that I have an 'uncle' Eamon (I think he was actually my father's cousin) through my paternal grandfather." Sure enough, that Eamon was my Eamon. To make it all the more interesting for me, it turns out that mother is related to me through my paternal grandmother's family.

Relax, relax. The Bishop and "The Girl" were not related to each other by blood. There was just an intersection a generation down the road.

Eamon was beaten in the semi finals of the Bengal Bouts 194lb division by Ricky Neville.

Eamon's brother Garrity (awesome name) fights in the 155 lb division.
