Hey guys, wondering if anyone has any good advice - we're heading to ND for the TENN game and need a place to stay - i know there are hotels out about 30/45mins away, but was wondering if there were any other options like people renting out their house or anything like that for nd weekends? worse comes to worse, we'll just book a room out aways like usual.

thanks!

What kind of price range are you wanting to be in? There are several areas that rent houses out but they can get pretty pricey.

I have the same Question I'll be there for the Tennessee game too! Its my first time I'm driving 12 hours, and some people told me its pretty hard to get a hotell room in the area, is that true?

Your gonna pay for it. I've stayed in Goshen a couple of times, about 30-40 minutes away. This year I booked early and will be in Elkhart. If you stay in South Bend you will find hotel prices at 150-200+ per night. Even in Goshen or Elkhart you will pay a game weekend premium for a room.

I'll be in South Bend for the Tennessee game and will stay in Elkart. The prices aren't bad (about $120-$130 per night). You may want to give it a try. Never had a problem getting a room in the past...but there's a new sheriff in town (CW), and rooms may be tough to come by.

Staying in Chicago could be fun, as it'll only be about a 1.5 hour drive away. There are several nice bed n' breakfasts in South Bend that make for a more cozy experience.

I'll tell you where my son and I stay at. I live on the Ohio river and we're about 7 hrs away. We start up on Friday afternoon and reach the city of Kokomo which is on the other side of Indianapolis. Its only a couple hours drive to South Bend from there. We have a room already reserved at Motel 6 for the Mich St. game. You can find rooms there anywhere from $49 to $130
a nite, depending on the motel (hotel). Then after the game, we stay at my Aunts house in nearby Mishawaka.

I am heading out fot the Tenn also. My buddies and I rented a house for $1000 from Thursday to Sunday. It was a way better deal than a hotel room.
