So I'm reading one of Michigan's forum and there is a thread named "Just got from that dump they call a city".

First of all, South Bend is WAY better than Ann Arbor, Ann Arbor will always be a whore.

The Michigan fans that are girls, "Buzz your girlfriend, woof!". They look like those warlocks in Lord of the Rings.

They said our defense isn't that good. Think what you want...6 points

Read it and weep..

Scout.com: Just back from that dump they call a city. A few thoughts...

I love that their oline controlled the LOS. I guess Robinson isn't as big of a threat to run as we thought.

Sorry, Ann Arbor is much better than South Bend. Aside from that shithole of a university, that city has awesome bars and restaurants and is quite safe. The same can't really be said for South Bend two miles away from ND.

I've only been out to ND once, and I didn't really see much of the "real" South Bend, as in the downtown area or really anywhere farther than a mile or two from campus. The area around the university was pretty nice, though.

Ann Arbor is for sure a better city than South Bend. As for the campus, I went to UM and appreciate central campus. But the setup, tradition, and beauty of ND campus blows away any other. Plus, the Big House a moronic walk away from central campus and uphill. I lived on central campus for 3 years and walking to the stadium is a joke in A2.

I have to also say that A2 is a better city than South Bend. But the rest of that person's post is, as another poster here said, just sour grapes.

But, personally, I also think ND gave up a lot of great opportunities (given to them by Denard Robinson, who obviously forgot which team he was on) to increase the spread to more than just 7 pts. That game should've been a blowout the way UM was playing (poorly).

I love South Bend and I could give a rat's arse what people outside of the city think. It definitely has some areas that aren't the safest (but NOTHING like the areas we had out in L.A.) but it also has PLENTY of great areas, and not just near the campus. We just bought a house on the south side of the city in a phenomenal area, safe as can be, with restaurants and bars a stone's throw away, and 2 parks for my daughter to enjoy.

I've never been to Ann Arbor so I won't rag on the city, but just sayin', as someone who lived in the L.A. area my entire life (loved it there as well but it was time to go), South Bend has been great to me and my family and my wife's family their entire lives. The people here are great, the housing is incredibly affordable, my favorite university in the world is basically in my backyard...so for me, the city has been great.

Typical Michigan bullshit. Loads of excuses and a bunch of irrelevant trash talking about the opponent's academics, girls, city, etc.

The differences between South Bend and NDs campus and Ann Arbor and UMs campus are honesly not very different. It depends wht your looking for- UM offers a huge well designed public campus while ND offers a beautiful smaller private campus based on religion. Having said that, East Lansing and Michigan State is honestly a piece of ****... Sorry if I am disrespecting any graduates/citizens of East Lansing.... But doesn't even pale in comparison to ND or UM

How did East Lansing even enter into this conversation???

You know you got smoked pretty bad when you have to resort to bashing things completely non-football related.

Both UM and ND have a lot going for both of them. We won out on the football field (this time). Take the loss, learn from it, get better, and move on.

I dont think I'll ever go to some other schools threads to read the gas that spews out-not productive and I would expect them to be disrespectfull. Who cares.

Great point - I'm not sure why anyone here would go to a UM forum the day after a loss to one of their biggest rivals and expect to see them taking it well. What exactly were you expecting? And why even waste the time going over there?

I've been to all 3 cities for games and other activities. Ann Arbor has the edge as far as the entire city is concerned. There is a lot to do around there. Its like Big City living without the Big City. In relation to campus life, I would say they are on equal ground. I give the edge to ND because of the surrounding area, just gorgeous.

As for E. Lansing, its a coach fire waiting to happen. Meh.
