Given the Purdouchebags history, I think that if we get on them early and often and beat them up PHYSICALLY as well, the MENTAL collapse will happen automatically. They're a team with NO HEART.

15 of last 16 losses by LESS THAN 7 PTS!!!! Enough said.

I think (and hope) that CDub will have the O-Line playing nasty like again like they were against Pitt. PU won't be expecting that, esp. after the past few years of flag football the way the OLine played...

Joe Moore is smiling wherever he is......(GUARANTEED he'll mute the TV and listen to Roberts/Pinkett if Boob is calling the game....)

Their run defense has killed ND the last two or three years.

That place will be hostile. Must run the ball, must play strong D.

Jigga, it WILL be different this year. I predict that our O-Line will be AT LEAST as nasty as it was against Pissburgh, if not more...they want to build going into the USC game...and I think that we have some pride and want to atone for the meek performances of the last two years...

One of the Beatitudes is "The meek shall inherit the earth"...well, we most certainly did the past two years....THROUGH OUR FACEMASKS, as PU threw us around.

THAT STOPS SATURDAY.

I am excited to see the Irish in HD also. I am not one to nit-pick at who does the color and analysis, I just watch the freaking game. As far as this game, I like ND big. Purdue has not done anything to impress me at all. Although facing ND can change that. I watched Minnesota run all over them. I have to believe for as hard as Purdue maybe working for the W, I believe we are working even harder. Spack has not prepared for an offense like ours and I'll take Coach Weis in that match up. We keep Edwards off of Brady and have a pass defense the bends but does not break along with some interceptions I like our chances. ND 35 Purdue 24

Watched the UW game again and I noticed how the irish were running the same plays with different formations. Charlie's up to something. If you have the game on tape watch it again and you will see what I mean. Strategy? Bag of Tricks? if so - for who? surely not for Purdue, Maybe USC. Just look at the tape. The other thing I do not understand, why the cushon D against MSU and UW and a tight man on Mich? They went to a cover 2 after Pitt's first scoring drive with Zibby spying and that did the trick. Please feel free to fill me in if you have a different perspective.
Leppy.

I think Weis is going to throw the kitchen sink's kitchen sink out in these next two, esp. USC. A week to prepare? Scary. As for Purdue, Joe Tiller is known as a mad scientist on offense. Think Weis doesn't want to beat him? I think the ball is going to be spread all over the field on this Purdue D. But they must run the ball with authority.

SC has three scholarship QBs right now. Their pass rush is great, though. But if you can protect, you can score on them. Keep that offense off the field.

Easier said than done, but it can be done.

I think Weis and his staff have been saving formations and/or plays for USC. He knows this rivalry means a lot. He is not going to show all of his cards yet.

To my "cousin" WeisGuy05, I totally agree with this. Keep up the good posts.

Yeah, I was surprised by Davie in the broadcast. He gave some good insights and his clinic lines were classic. Maybe he has finally burried the hatchet?

Davie and Holtz are pumped for this year and the results thus far.

When they flashed back to Tiller's win over ND in 1997, why would they do that with Davie in the booth? He was coach that game!!

Horrible memory to dig up.

That is exactly what I said to my wife when that happened. I said that it is too bad that the guy that is calling the game is the guy was coaching in that game. I thought he was very good. I did catch when they were talking about Brandon Hoyte, Davie did mention that he recruited him. I think he could also take credit for Shelton maybe, and who else is a 5th Yr Senior?

Isn't it great that Holtz sits side-by-side with Mark May and completes laughs at May's picks with a "Boy this is why you ain't a coach" look.

When May said SC would put half a hundred on Notre Dame, I thought Holtz was going to choke him.

I think any fifth year guys are Davie guys...Corey Mays.

Why is everyone so mad at Mark May's prediction that USC will score 50? They probably will, quite frankly. Michigan State came close to that, and USC's offense is better.

All it means is that Notre Dame's just gonna have to score 51.

I don't care that he said it, but it was his tone that really bothered me. Holtz and Reece Davis were talking about the impressive Purdue performance and then this Jagbag comes in with a spoonful of hate.

And say 50 points. "Half a hundred." Is this supposed to be cute? Don't be an @ssbag all your life.

The guy is on the rag because Wannstedt is taking another team into the tenth level of hell that happens to be his alma mater.

Welcome to Notre Dame that past 8 years, Mark May.
