Hey guys, I'm trying to make a new highlight video for this week, but the gameplay I have on my computer cannot be played on a Mac. It is a .mkv format and I want to change it to .mp4. Does anybody have any clue how to do this without losing quality? And does anyone have an .mp4 version of the game film I could download instead? Thank you guys! Solid win. Go Irish!

Download a program called Subler from here:

Subler for Mac - CNET Download.com

You will then unzip and open Subler, go to File -> New and a box will appear. Hit the + and add the mkv files one at a time.. It will split up the video and audio.. Add both files (1st and 2nd half).. Go to File -> Save.. set to where you want to save it and pick either "Movie" or "Video"

Movie will be an Mp4 file and Video will be som Itunes file m4v or something.. Id suggest mp4.. What editing program do you use?

I got the video Im assuming from the same place you did.. and I cant find it anywhere else in any other format.. I use final cut pro so I have used Subler and have to now put it through MPEG streamclip to convert to Apple pro res which is ideal for editing.. If you're using Imovie you will prob be fine with mp4 though.

Any clue why it is taking 58 hours to optimize the video in iMovie? The last time I uploaded 3 hours worth of footage it only took about 6 hours.

The first game was on CBS. This one was on NBC. This time iMovie has to deal with all those NBC timeouts while simultaneously trying to decipher Hammond.

If only there was a deHammondizing program.
