Ranked 23 in this poll. But yeah ranked 20th in AP, I can't believe that! Is this for real? It doesnt list Pitt as being dropped from the rankings???

I am sure Weis is letting them know they are not that good yet.

That is pretty amazing that we got all the way up from #44 in the AP to #20. Looks like the media wants a lot of viewers this Sat. for #20 vs. #3 clash.

The ranking is awesome!!! I was at the game and noticed two very interesting things with the use of my binoculars: 1. pre game CW was consumed with observing Pitts pre game warm up, while wanny spent most of the time smacking helmets and chumming with the celebs on the field, 2. When Palko fumbled the ball, (and it was a fumble) Lee Corso who gave me the wrong impression with his pick for Pitt to win, was yelling at the official who overturned the call,, he was visibly upset with the missed call. Not sure how to interpret that, but all three ESPN analyst stood on the ND side line. I also noticed some recruits along the side line and was hoping that some one might know who they were?

I would think Weis would want them to believe that they should beat anybody.

He has already said that it doesn't matter. All that matters is who they play this week. I agree.

All this means is when ND beats Michigan, Michigan will probably go up to #2 and still be ranked higher than ND. That's what usually happens every year. UM is the only team in America that can have a subpar performance and still go up a few notches.

I am looking forward to the O-VER-RA-TED chants from the ND faithful directed at their pretty, overrated helmets.

Hating Michigan is fun.

I meant that in the context of Coach Weis not letting the players let up one bit in practice...not literally.

Sorry I was unclear.

wonder if they can stay ranked if they don't pull it out this weekend? Probly not, but maybe if its close. I don't believe there's any teams w/ losses ranked behind them though.

If ND wins on Saturday, then I bet the Irish get ranked 12 or 13. If ND wins...I am already anxious for the game. I hate the Wolverines.
