Playstation NCAA13 Football Online Dynasty

Andy in Sactown and I have been conversing and believe that with a few errors that occurred, as well as old settings affecting new dynasty settings the best thing to do is create a new online dynasty for the PS3. We want to implement better settings, and combine that with players that are truly committed to playing. What we would like to do is have each player that wants to play post in here with their team of choice AND their time zone, GMT differential. This will give me an accurate time I can advance the week twice weekly...Thursday & Monday night late..

Please note, Notre Dame is NOT off limits to choose. If you would like to play Notre Dame, and I'm sure several of us will, we'll simply have a draft for it. As dynasty commissioner, I will take myself out of the running for Notre Dame and leave it up to you all. I will pick a number between 1-50 and if you would like to begin as Notre Dame, simply post a lottery number next to your name and GMT time. Whoever is closest to the number I picked gets them. Fair and square. We will have Coaching Contracts on, so you'll have to live up to the hype! Please leave your alternate choice for a team in case you don't get Notre Dame.

Here will be the settings for the new dynasty, so you should input them into your offline settings if you'd like to practice.

Good choice! Monte's a beast and with the sliders set as they will be, it's going to be more, "who can get a first down", than who can get the computer to bite on my favorite route type deal.

I only have Xbox but does anyone have a sliders set up that gives a more realistic football experience? I thinking about doing a 15 minute quarter off line dynasty.

Yeah, I hate passing the ball in NCAA... they still haven't quite figured out how to make pass defense realistic enough yet. Plus, I haven't played on these more challenging sliders yet, so I'll play the oldschool field position game rather than risk getting tackled for loss running out of the shotgun every other play

You trying to put up 200+ points? The way the game manages the clock is not realistic. See the OP here to get some playable (short time required to play games), realistic game play.

They'd sell less games if they tried to tune the game to "real time" clock values. The sliders proposed by Dre1919 are community created at Operation Sports (big time EA football game forum/community) to create a great game experience with realistic statistics.

No I'm saying an offline dynasty for myself. Where I only play one full game a week.

I would still recommend those sliders. You can try them out in practice mode if you like. Give them a try.

Edit: I'm interested to see how the field is, conference-wise, this time. A bunch of us wanted to win the Big-12 last go-round.

Thanks for the great enthusiasm Andy, and thank you to everyone else that's willing to deal with the restart and getting into a good dynasty! I really appreciate the interest in this league, and believe me, it's pretty fun with these settings. The games are just a helluva lot better. The CPU actually manages a run game, some passes go errant, wideouts make great grabs and totally go all squid hands sometimes. It's very entertaining. By the way, in case anyone was wondering, this is the level of my other dynasty's depravity.

We've been playing, like I said in the other thread, since 1996 and for some reason JUST THIS YEAR we thought "Hey, it'd be cool to have a real trophy!" So, this year, we made one. And, each time a national champion is crowned a small copper plate is added with their name and season. Then, they keep the trophy at their house all season until a new champ is crowned. Since we all live in Kansas City, it's easy to pass it around.

If possible I would like to use my rosters, I can make the changes I haven't kept up with (I switched Silas Redd to USC, but haven't done the three other players from PSU; and any others you would like me to make that I may have not seen I will take care of).

I know that if anyone is using ND, they will be upset with OS's ND rosters. I'm not trying to be that guy, but I take pride in my ND rosters. Whoever wants ND will be upset when they don't have Brown, Ferguson, Barratti and Prosise, as well as when they see Tee Shepard and the terrible changes OS made at WR.

EDIT: I also took care of Crowell by replacing him with a frosh UGA RB; Have plans to take Reid off of FSU tomorrow when I finish Penn State's changes

Sounds like you have a good grip on rosters, but what are your rosters based on? While I am sure you make some noted, and logical improvements, the stock roster are garbage. Why don't you PM our Commish and talk to him about it. I'm sure he has a good grasp on the legit rosters rolling around a could incorporate your accurate updates. Talk to Andrew; he's a good guy and if my interactions with him are any barometer, it'll turn out for the better.

My rosters are basically untouched in terms of ratings unless it's an extreme case, with certain limited and fair tweaks in ND's case (some players got single attributes adjusted to reflect real life tendencies, and some players had ratings lowered). From my understanding, Operation Sports guys don't really adjust ratings either, except in similar extreme cases. I know they do a great job, I was just sorely disappointed with how they handled ND this year. In the end it's not a huge deal, just throwing it out there in case anyone appreciates an accurate ND team as much as I do. I'm not difficult though, so we can proceed to avoid roster delays if that's the vote

My thought is we should scrap recruiting. It takes up time and I'd like to see us get through one season before we worry about next season.

Just my 2 cents.

P.S. I wasn't the best Dynasty member before, because I was almost killed in a car wreck July 31st...I'm good now and ready to go.

Oh, by the way, one thing I also like to do is make a few changes to the conferences to reflect either moves that have been made, are going to be made, or make sense. Like for example, what I generally do is move Pitt and Syracuse into the ACC (since they are moving there in a year or two), I try to add a few teams to the Big XII to get it back to twelve members (and for this I usually go old SWC flavor like Houston and SMU). Taking Pitt and Syracuse out of the Big East further depletes it, so I try to fill it with teams from the C-USA ranks that would make sense for them to pick up.

Yes, I downloaded a roster set other than Op Sports (I think it was gaming tailgate) that had all players correctly named and coaches put in. The only reason I even looked at rosters other than Op Sports set was because they had changed GAIIIs number back to 34. It sounds like a small thing, but not being able to change him back to 4 really bugged me lol. I haven't checked theirs lately though, so for all I know maybe they found a way to fix it in an update. You can check mine out if you'd like, but like I said there are some updates I need to make myself that I haven't kept up with. I will upload them to my locker later this afternoon if you want to look at them (I always upload my rosters so my friends can have accurate sets, just need to update my locker to the newest set I have)

Dynasty will be up tomorrow! The winner of the ND lotto was Da Rattlesnakes with McManus coming in second. The number was 39 to get closest to, so congrats! I will have everything set up and invites out in the morning at some point. We will be in the Pre-Season, so make sure you get any Redshirting, Depth Chart changes done you want and set up your Recruiting board. I will advance to Week One by late Sunday night or when everyone is ready (whichever comes first).
