Huge man crush on Manti. He has been a special player throughout his career at and ND and hopefully in the NFL. I remember in 2009 waiting in dreaded anticipation for him to take the field vs Nevada. He is/was absolutely worth all the hype.

And he's such a great ambassador of the school. Gotta love Manti

Hoping to be able to watch the game tommorow. My fiance and I have a rare saturday off together so we might do something together since she prolly doesnt want to huddle around my computer screen to watch a game she isnt a super huge fan of.

You need to set your enjoyments early and you need to let her know that watching ND sports is really important to you. Marriage and relationships are about compromise after all. You let her make all the rules you will become embittered, and that is never good. Just my thoughts....

I know that this will be Golsons first start but I wanna see if our offense gets the no huddle fast tempo going. I have been waiting to see it move quick and effecient down the field since kelly got here.

Agreed. It will be interesting to see how Golson runs the offense, not so much if he can scramble or throw it down field (we know he can do that) but can he make the correct presnap read, and keep the offense moving at a fast tempo?

I have now switched to Stone Brewing Levitation Ale. A damn good beer.

My fiance and I have a rare saturday off together so we might do something together since she prolly doesnt want to huddle around my computer screen to watch a game she isnt a super huge fan of. I am excited to see Golson play this year and Im hoping that Manti can get wins over UM and Stanford this year so he can at least have beaten all of our big rivals at least once.

Ive been so out of the irish loop this offseason. Been helping my mother who had two major neck surgeries at the end of 2011 and then one at the begining of 2012. Thank the Lord she's no longer living in pain but because she wasnt at her job for 90 days she got let go after her 1sy surgery so she's looking for a new job which is a struggle but we are doing so much better than we were a year ago at this time.

Ive moved in with the woman of my dreams over the summer and Im looking to finish school this spring and go out and get a real job. I think being in this position has made me more optimistic than I would normally be for the football season. Dont get me wrong Ive still got the butterflies (especially since I only read yesterday about Cierre's suspension) but I truly think we will be alright. Hope to start the season on the right foot this year and have a great season of Irish football to go along with such a great year for me personally. Enjoy the season guys and GO IRISH!!!

Do something after the game. Its Notre Dame Football!

Along with Manti, I will really be looking forward to cheering on all the other graduating veterans on the team:

Kap, Eifert, Slaughter, Motta, Cave, Golic, Cowart, Turk, Goody, Riddick, McCarthy, Salvi, and Toma.

These guys are on their final season here at Notre Dame. They have represented the university well thus far, and I am looking forward to the success they can attain on their last hurrah.

I will be pulling real hard for these men. Can't wait for tomorrow.

Tomorrow is my son's 1st ever ND game. He'll probably sleep through it, but I'm super pumped. Go Irish!
How old? I am going to sit my 2 year old on my lap and see how long he will last.

I tried with my daughter(4 yrs old) but after a couple of minutes she wants me to turn on My Little Pony.

You need to wake the littler feller up. Get him jacked up on Mountain Dew and EGGO waffles with maple syrup. He can sleep when hes 18.

He's only 5 months old. He going to have some rice cereal and milk while we pump the ND marching band. His first ND game (hopefully a win) followed by his first state penn game (hopefully a loss). Mom is working all day. Gonna be so much fun.

I got her singing the fight song at three but that is as far as she will go. She loves her ND gear just not into the games yet.

Awesome! I have had all three of my kids sleep on me during ND games over the last 9 yrs(my oldest is 9) and it is really cool. They will never remember it but I will never forget it!

Cool. I'm really looking forward to it. I can't jump up and scream and cheer the way I used to, but I'm sure it will be an even better time.

I normally drink rum and coke, or something with vodka, or anything that has alcohol in it  .

I would really like a beer, but hey have to drink whats in the house.

Nice. I am a whisky (single malt scotch, bourbon, Irish, Japanese, etc), Red wine or Craft beer (usually IPAs, DIPAs, Porters, Stouts, Red Ales and Sour Ales) kind of guy. I also like sipping tequila and aged Rum. During the summer I do drink some Gin though (Gin + tonics and Gin martinis).

I was wrong earlier one more beer before switching to whisky. Stone Brewing 16th Anniversary Ale (a double IPA brewed with lemon verbena). Stone 16th Anniversary IPA - Stone Brewing Co. - Escondido, CA - BeerAdvocate
