He is a little on the slow side though. There are people at ND with the same SAT verbal score he had as an accumulative average. I can't imagine he would do particularly well in school.

Gotcha. It's on Blue & Gold Online.nayers said:http://rivals100.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?pr_key=28710&Sport=1
if that doesn't work, then it is under the "athletes" section on the right hand side of the page on rivals100...click on his name

That or if you watched USC pick apart OU last night, both RBs had field days because they have such different styles. It was pretty to watch.brucejcarr said:It's clear what Coach Weis is trying to do.....
He wants depth to create compition at every position. This will make all of the players on the team work harder to beat out his compitition.
We've got one hell of a coach in Charlie Weis.![]()

I don't think it mattered where Reggie went. He could have went to Loser U and he would still find ways to get into the endzone.BigIrish said:Yeah...he's scary good. Hate to admit it, but I think Willingham would have squandered that talent as well. Almost glad to see him go to SC just to be able to see what he could do.
Rip Rap said:He took the Ty firing very badly, and first claimed he no longer had any interest. But apparently Weis has him back on board. Of course, he could follow Ty to Washington. Weis has been very classy when dealing with the players, noting that it was purely the win-loss percentage that got Ty fired, because it "just isn't good enough." But to get a kid like Stewart you really have to convince him that Weis and his staff will be better for him professionally, just as ND will be better for him academically. If this kid is what I think he is, you can also make a better argument that ND will be right for him socially (I've been told he is a fairly conservative and religious kid).
I've only heard a few snipets about Stewart, but I think his basic character and personality traits would be good matches for ND. It doesn't sound like he is arrogant or flashy, and he certainly doesn't seem like the type to get in trouble.
When I think of guys like Zorich or Rice, they may not be the smartest guys to have gone to Notre Dame, but their character and loyalty made them great representatives of the university. I have a hunch Stewart is in the same genre of player.
Rip Rap said:Hardesty is now out of our consideration. You can bank Wells is out too. Its down to Stewart and anybody Haywood may be able to sway for the Half Back position.
Who is Shaun Dewitty? This is a new name for me. I guess we still have two realistic options, if Dewitty is also possible.
Awesome we really need some speed in the backfield - walker really isnt that fast but makes good moves and really next year we r going to need a second back to play immediatly so that walker can rest somejiggafini19 said:Stewart would be an absolute gem for this class based on all that has happened with the program as of recent. Stewart is a class or two above Hardesty. We'll see what happened as to why he couldn't make it. Interesting.
The guy that could get into the mix is Jerrell Wilkerson out of San Antonio. He committed to Haywood/Texas, but now the move has him considering Notre Dame, who was in the running from the start. He's 5-8, 170, but his speed is top notch. He's an all purpose back and one of the top rushers in Texas High School Football history. Tennessee was also considered. Wilkerson is right on the level with Hardesty.
