I thought they'd follow TCU to the Big 12.
Although the Pac 12 is the perfect fit for them if it expands.

Another thing that may keep them from joining the Big East is the possible 4 team playoff the BCS is putting together, which would IMO, eliminate the need to win your conference to qualify.

The Pac-12 a perfect fit for Boise State, but Boise State is not a perfect fit for the Pac-12. The market simply isn't big enough.

I doubt they expand ever again. They have a near-perfect setup. If they did, they'd want to get into Reno or Las Vegas, or further into the southwest. They'd go for the mega-deal with Texas/Oklahoma/Oklahoma State/Texas Tech before they added Boise State.

If I was a conference I would rather have Baylor or TCU instead of Texas Tech. Better universities, TCU has the Dallas market, Baylor is building a new stadium & TCU just renovated, better football programs. Sure, they are private schools so less alumni, but in a major conference they would end up being more valuable IMO.

Like I've been saying for a while, Boise offers about nothing other than a great football program. Boise isn't a meaningful market, they have no other sports, their stadium isn't any good, it's not very big for a public (17K), and they aren't great academically. The Pac-12 will not want them, and I don't see why the Big 12 would either. If San Diego State and Boise State decide to stay in the Mountain West, it becomes a much better football conference than the Big East.

The Big East is going to die. Once Louisville is poached by the Big 12 and UConn goes to the ACC, they will have lost their last 2 solid basketball programs that play football. Georgetown, Marquette, St. John's, and Villanova would all look nice in the Atlantic-10.

Still interested to see how good Boise State will be without Kellen Moore. I think this is a very important season for Boise State football, because it will tell the nation whether they have truly become a football powerhouse or if it was just one player in a key position.

I think there will be an initial drop off but when you run a true program the slack picks up quick.

But its not like Jared Zabransky wasnt a highly successful quarterback before him, I think its more the program. But would not be surprised if they have a rebuilding year (like 07 where they still went 10-3 lol)

Love this program 2nd favorite team behind the Irish, but Buster is right no reason for the Pac 12 to take them makes no sense financially.

I would love to see Boise State do well, dont get me wrong, but I have no idea how good they will be next year... Sure they are ranked high, but so is Michigan and I think we all know they are overrated and based on what they did last year, not what is expected. I just think it will be a telling year for the Boise State football program.

They've actually got a really good wrestling program. They wrestle as part of the Pac-12 and I think they'd fit in there as a football program as well. I think that they're overrated and once they start playing a real schedule people will realize just how weak they are. However, I do believe that if the Pac-12 is willing to add Colorado and Utah, Boise St. would be an upgrade ratings wise.
