Well, maybe that's a lil' harsh...how about purgatory?irishtexan said:they were real shitty announcers, and they can go to hell.

irishtexan said:hey did anyone watch the hawaii game last night? it was on espn, and i was wondering who the douchebag commentators were last night bashing notre dame for firing ty, and then bashing weis. they said he hasnt even started recruiting and ty would have done a better job. they were real shitty announcers, and they can go to hell.

Its just the way it is these days. The next thing you are going to see is him on ESPN with two hats while everyone sits in suspence. He will then let all of us know he has decided to take his talents to Florida(I fogot to mention one of his family members will be in the background trying to get air time)Good thing he is not a five star recruit,so we may not have to sit though that.Oh well, I guess I will just have to watch the NBA where at least its known eighteen year olds run the show.I can watch everyone dribble to the hole and then cry they got fouled.I love this game.bmf175 said:I think somebody just needs to bitch slap Nelson! I can understand looking around for your best offer, but whats the purpose of giving a verbal with the option to change his mind. Why not just wait and have a definite answer then stick with it. Changing your mind all the time just makes you sound weak.
I can see recruits leaving a school after they give their committ, if the school under goes major changes (like ND did with firing Willingham). But giving a verbal committ with the option to change your mind? What is that all about? You should explore your options and then give a verbal.
Well at least that is my understanding of a verbal committment. For a man its should be just the same as signing on the dotted line.![]()

I just finished reading all of the recruiting articles Irisheyes.com had posted since Coach Weis has taken over. And even with the few yellow bellies jumping ship I am really impressed with his recruiting efforts this far. I think we will finish this recruiting season alot better off than now that we changed Coaches.
Alot of the prospects are very pleased with Coach Weis and want to play for him.
I sure wouldnt hold your breath this year.He just needs to fill the roster with big bodys. The skilled guys will have to wait till next year.It will all come down to what happens on the field(even tonight could help out a lot). The recruits will come if we have somthing to sell. He has a solid (although misguided) offense next year.He should be able to do some good things.Give him a full season to recruit and then we will talk.I do think he will surprise us in Feburary as long as we are not expecting a top class.ND will return!!!jiggafini19 said:Man, I hope you're right. Your glass is definitely half full. I think the whole situation has been a disaster. Remember, ND has lost 3 verbals and several official visits since this whole debacle began. Weis is working more damage control than he is recruiting right now. I'm not going to hold by breath for the 2005 class, but one year from now should be outstanding. Whatever he can scrape up this year is gravy.
