Winter Practice Thread

With winter practices starting in 2 days for the NCG, I thought I'd start this conversation up. I'm interested to see if BK uses the hurry up and how many plays he scripts from the start. I wonder what plays he has to make the best use of Golson or if we are going to return any punts.

Notre Dame sets bowl practice schedule

Notre Dame Bowl Month Schedule:
Dec 7th: 1st Practice (during day) & Awards Show (8pm)
Dec 10-14: Finals Week
Dec 21-27: Off for Christmas
Dec 28-31: Return for practice in South Bend
Jan 2: Departure for Miami
Jan 3-5: Practice in Miami
Jan 7: BCS National Championship Game
***Practice Dates: Dec 7, 8, 11, 14, 16, 18, 20, 21, 28, 29, 30, 31 Jan. 3, 4, 5

A week off for Christmas, I really, really like that.

You don't want to burn anyone one out. And these kids are smart enough to put in a little work while at home. They have their eyes on the prize. Not worried one bit with that christmas break.

Ya I remember the attitudes between Oregon and Auburn a couple of years ago. Auburn was really loose and relaxed and came out and played great. I think BK will keep them on track and focused but keep them having fun.

Love this team.

The Christmas thing is wonderful. Last year the team was in Miami for it, and this year the gets a great relaxing, appreciative time with their families.

Yeah. i think in that ESPN interview, BK said he pulled some advice from other coaches who have been there before. I'm sure he's got us in the best possible position. I just hope Manti has some good workouts on the road this week. The hotel gyms probably don't have enough weight for him.

How badass would it be to head downstairs from your room at the hampton inn and see teo lifting in the workout room? I'd offer him a spot.

He'd have to lift the entire machine to get a sufficient workout. Manti is a beast. I hope he doesn't eat too much and pack on those extra LBs. Too many Loco Mocos in Hawaii will fatten you up real quick.

OMG that looks incredible! I am so hungry right now!

Ya man they are delicious. I spent a Summer in Hawaii with a buddy who is a local and he took me to all the best local places for food. Freaking delicious.

Though I'm not concerned with this team and their dedication to working, I've still just got a tiny paranoia that someone is going to get lazy and be a step slow.

I have a friend, a pOSU fan, that swears to this day that OSU got blown out by Florida because Troy Smith got fat and lazy during the Heisman/awards travelling. I still tell him that Jarvis Moss was going to terrorize the OSU backfield, even if Smith had gotten FASTER the month before the game, but he won't listen.

This is basically accepted as fact here. So weird hah

Accepted as fact recently, comparing it to Teo going on the circuit? If so I've missed it haha.

And I'm not saying he didn't get fat and lazy, it just wouldn't have mattered either way in that game. He also thinks that they win the game if Ginn doesn't sprain his ankle.

Usually the younger guys get more quality reps during the early bowl practices. Will that be the case this year or will we be focusing on Alabama throughout?
