The guy asks for an opinion at the end.
Is it ever possible to have an opinion on facts?
When someone mentions a fact there can be no base for opinion.
Fact: Sky is blue.
Any opinions on that statement?
This last question throws me off:
Food for thought: how in the world can anyone consider that Willingham is a victim of racism by big, bad, old Notre Dame if he is receiving a higher salary (from Notre Dame) than the current Notre Dame coach?
What's your opinion?
What do you mean by what is my opinion?
It's a fact that Ty is getting more money than Weis. Maybe I'm reading it wrong but it's put together a little off to me.
For the record I firmly believe that Ty was let go for reasons other than race.
Sorry guys I'm studying apologetics as well... So maybe I'm over analyzing.
Plus I'm kinda tired of the Weis/Ty thing.
He's asking for one's opinion about the fact that some still insist Ty's a victim of racism even though he is the third highest paid ND employee. Seems pretty damn simple to me. It's also implied (or at least left open for interpretation) based on earlier parts in the post that he's interested in people's opinions about how ESPN, in their borderline persecution of ND over this issue, has conveniently overlooked the facts he is presenting. That definitely sounds to me like something on which one could form an opinion.
And as for "the sky is blue".....
Yes, that is (arguably, depending on how technical you want to get, or if we want to get into semantics) a "fact"......
And low and behold, I have an opinion on that fact....
I think it's better that we observe a blue sky as opposed to a green sky.
Cool.
Well simply put I don't give a damn about why Ty got fired. That's a fact. It's 2008 three years after the fact. Move on.
(Sorry, I couldn't resist pointing it out)Not mad Timugen, just tired of this being brought up all the time.
Go Irish!!!
PS - how do we get team symbols on our posts like many of you have? I can't figure it out. Thanks in advnce.
