Boda,

It goes to show you what good coaching and a good conditioning program can do for players. Leihman, Cody, Huephal, Griffin and White were all two (2) star players out of high school, with the exception of Huephal (two (2) star out of JUCO). Davie and Willingham both brought in better classes than OU, but OU trained and coached their players into studs. Davie and Willingham were exposed as below average coaches at ND. It is a shame we have to start our program over again after the lean years, but better late than never!

Exactly.

I think it also goes to show that Stoops has a system in place that makes the sum greater than the parts. Weis does the same thing in New England on offense.

The sun is shinin' on the Golden Dome.

Just goes to show you that its all about the system in college. Good coaches with good systems make good teams. Which is why Weis should do well, b/c he's coming from one of the only teams in the pros that also use that philosophy, that its all about the system and the "right" players, not necessarily the "best" ones.

If ND played Utah this season ND would of got there ass kicked. Utah is full of 2 star players with an odd 3 star player here and there., ND mainly has 3, 4, and some 5 star guys.

We all saw how Utah beat down on BYU and Pitt, While ND couldn't beat BYU (11 yards total rushing) and Pitt's offense had there way with our defense and beat us.

I don't know.

Utah seemed to thrive on the short pass which we defended very well. I only watched two or three Utah games, but I didn't see them go down the field very much so our secondary weakness may have not been exposed.

However, we seemed to look foolish any time opponents ran trick plays and that okey doke they ran vs Pitt was amazing and probably would have killed us.

I equate the past decade or so to the Stock Market Crash/Great Depression era, we've been down for about a decade now, but like then, things turned around and really started to hum......I think that w/ CDub, we've started to turn that corner and Happy Days are here again!!

I am just glad TY is gone and we seem to have someone with fire in place. We still have a lot of four star players on are roster.Weis will get a lot out of them and I think they will be up for every game because their coach will make them confident. Also understanding that losing is not acceptable at ND.It has been a rough eight years and I wasn't excited about the hiring of Davie or TY but Weis just has that prescence. The excitement is back just like
when i was a kid and got all of the players autographs at the SC ND breakfast.Their is just somthing more to ND then everywhere else.
