Why line up in FG block?

On the 30 in overtime. Why not get into a cover 2 or something why risk any td when they have a bad shot at hitting the fg anyways? I just think it is a legitimate issue. I just don't see the upside.

I agree. I said it somewhere else that my entire video game carreer that when its 4th down and my opponenet lines up to kick a fg I play a dime cover 2 or select the fg fake zone.

I think everyone was amped up to be a hero that they lost track of the sneaky trick play. You gotta take out of play the one option that can end the game

So BK needs to take some on the chin for this but the past is the past. Let's not make that mistake again Kelly this is the big stage now!

Yes i actually SAID this to co-watchers. "what about the fake...it's 50-50 at best on the FG, why not take the chance on the TD".... So if little ol' me can think this way, why aren't the coaches? It would have been different if this was a 20 yard FG attempt.

I just watched the play again... did you guys see how we had 2 defenders on the 2 MSU players running up the seam but their one player straight up decks a his guy and Harrison who was covering the guy who caught the pass? I mean... that was blatant pass interference wasn't it? It looks like if Harrison Smith doesn't fall down we have that play covered.

That means we didn't have the play covered Harrison Smith in pass coverage = fail. I love him but it is what it is.

we had it covered well players just fell down... im sick of people thinking they can do better than the coaches... wasnt lou holtz a god to everyone hear 5-6 his first year.... i know kelly said it was a five minute plan... and thats what we want a coach that hates to lose.... Weis and willingham both had Great first years....Nick Saban was average and so was Urban Meyer.. be a little patient... Dantonio doesnt do that 99 percent of the time and you want to try and block the kick

I don't think I can " do better than the coaches" I do think formation we were in was a bad coaching decision , just my opinion. And no we did not have it well covered they scored.
