Who do you guys think is next? SoCal your opinions would be appreciated.

It seems like the following may be ready or near ready to commit somewhere sooner rather than later (before the end of summer) Let me know if I missed someone.

Watt
Martin
Banks
Lalota
Motta

Seems like any one of them could be next.

Of that list, the Watt situation is most curious since the spots available at OSU are down to only a few. And it's unclear whether there is a spot being held for him or spots being held for their other recruits at OSU.

I don't think the others on that list have a pressing need to announce, unless the coaches tell them position spots are filling up. But I believe Motta and Lalota have said they want to decide before their senior year starts.

after a few weeks of silence from the notre dame recruiting front, it has been great to get a couple of commits this week. one being a highly reguarded db and another with te with a high ceiling. they said they have him as a ath right now with possibilities of playing te wr or saftey. wow could you imagine him as a safety? but its weeks like this that keep us all hungry for the next commit. with summer half way over i am thinking we can expect some more commits in the comming weeks. but until then i am happy to be irish. and our future is getting brighter and brighter

I don't really care which one it is just as long as we end up with all 5 of these guys

I think we get three of them. I think we get banks 1 OL (either Martin or Watt) and one between Lalota and Motta.

Just a guess but I would think we end up with Watt, Banks and Lalota.

Could be completely off though

of the two olineman and dlineman which of the four are most likely at this point. there was alot of talk about lalota for a couple months but it has really died off as of late. i know watt is trying to see where he wants to go still but who r the two likely to commit of the four?

Lalota isn't dying off, he just wants to take his time and make some visits.

I believe we see Watt first, based off all the latest chatter. If the o$u boards are right and he doesn't have an actionable offer anymore, he might just be thinking- no sense in waiting any more if it truely was down to just us n them.

I think LaLota is working his own time/plan, as is Banks. And neither should be feeling much pressure from our staff as of right now to commit right away.

I don't 'feel' Martin or Motta as much as some of you, but that doesn't mean anything. Its just my spidy senses aren't tingly w those 2 as much as the first 3.:whoknows:

i had a brother who was a Navy Seal and another who was 82nd Airborne. Uncle Sammie took their dough too!

grizz you have enough vmoney to make a ballsy bet though. i am hoping it is watt. with watt and the bull coming in together that makes our interior line almost perfect. not to mention BIG TREV who is getting ready for his first season. and with the center we got last year and golic holding down either guard or center we have a monster interior. i would love to see us get some tackles but from the looks of it they are already getting the big tackles ready to sign for 2010.

after such a crushing defeat last month i just dont know anymore, i really saw the possibility of 8 but these procrastinators took the wind out of my sail.

but if i had to make a gues, and i always do with a large number.... being we already have two and "rumor has it" there may be another shortly. i will go out on a limb and say 7
