Every year we see them. The 3rd or 4th year player who is a monster. The kid who you ask yourself why the hell did ND not go after him and then look up his recruiting profile to find out his offers were mostly MAC or similar..except for that one big time school that he is now playing for.

Does ND have a kid like this in the current class?

For me I think it's Ogendeji. A string bean of a kid coming off a knee injury. Give him a couple of years to rehab and bulk up.... Remember, Adams has knee issues coming out of HS and look where he is at.

Maybe it's just hope for the potential of a 6'5" rush end.

Who is your pick?

Can Pride Jr be considered a sleeper? If not, I'll say Elliot bc Wiltfong is mad high on him for some reason.

I'd say sleepers should be limited to composite 3 star or less. If that were the criteria, I'd say overall and on D it would be Studstill (IMHO no way that kid should be a 3 star). On O, McIntosh

Studstill is a fine pick. All of the 'signs' of a sleeper. Lots of MAC offers but also offers from MSU and PITT. Typically a kid goes to a school like that and makes his case for a first round draft grade against ND in triple OT.

I like the kid a lot too, but think we'll see him primarily if Wimbush is injured at some point. Depends a lot as well who joins in the 17 class. I do think he's solid, and a lot better than his ratings would indicate. Don't think he contributes near to the level, or as early as Studstill though.

I actually think he's too good to be in the sleeper category. Shocked a bit that he is a 3 star. I can see him contributing year 1

Any of the safety commits this year. All have a chance to crack the lineup early.

Jalen Elliot is the popular choice so I'll go a different route.

Adetokunbo Ogundeji has all the measurables to be a good defensive end. He's definitely a project but I trust Gillmore
