In addition to what has already been an outstanding in Notre Dame recruiting the Irish snagged another top defensive player. This time it was Ethan Johnson, a DE Portland, OR who also just happened to be ND's #1 DE target from the start of this year's recruiting process, and once again much of the recruiting success goes to new DC Corwin Brown. Johnson is the 17th member of this year's recruiting class, and he chose the Irish over schools such as USC, Michigan (again), UCLA, Cal, and Oregon.

Can't wait for these kids to wear a ND uniform. The defense should be very fun to watch in the coming years.

Nice to see another top prospect pilfered from Pete's back yard; it also helps that UCLA missed out too. I'm a Left-Coaster and have relied on the Bruins to pester their cross-town rivals from Troy. My wife is a Trojan grad and I enjoyed consoling her after their loss to UCLA. I can't wait to begin consoling her for losses against the Irish. The Irish have snagged 3 players from SoCal, 1 from NoCal and now 1 from Portland, OR. The Weis/Brown combo is bringing in top recruits at an astronomical rate. Imagine how successful future recruiting clases will be when we win a BCS Bowl Game and legitimately contend for the NC. It's feeling like recruits better commit now before all the Notre Dame slots are spoken for. Get in line boys, the train's getting ready to pull out of the station, All aboard!

This guy is a monster. 5 stars with Scout & 4 witih Rivals. We now have 17 recruits when we only had 18 all of last year. (should of had 20, but we lost the Littles)

I especially enjoy the fact that Charlie and Corwin are getting these guys away from the skunks, my bro's a skunk fan and last year almost killed me.
