I must admit, I am impressed with Weis with respect to handing off playcalling responsibilities to someone. Shows maturity, the ability to change, giving up control is something I honestly didn't anticipate from Weis.

I wish Tressel would do the same thing. Unfortunate that he feels the needs to overburden himself by controlling the plays.

Ant are you serious???? Tressel has coached his teams to 9 NC games in the last 16 years. What more could you want from a coach. There is maybe 4 guaranteed spots for active coaches to get in to the college football hall of fame. JoPa, Bobby, Tressel and The Poodle.

I wouldn't exchange JT for anyone else. I just think that he is overburdening himself with playcalling duties. It worked great when in lower divisions, and on an offense that was just a regular run-of-the-mill like 2002. He is excellent at Tresselball. But when it comes to running high-powered offenses, I haven't seen the innovation or strategy that blows me away. For example, I was able to predict about 75% of all the plays in the NC game.

I do believe he is a great coach, but he needs to give up his playcalling to someone qualified. It just seems like it is a hangover from his past.
