Recruiting is a pavement pounding process and is year round. Weis is doing the right thing by being pro active and getting to juniors right after signing day. That is how you hook guys in. The Florida States and USCs of the world will always hit it big at the 11th hour, but getting ahead can often make the difference. So many kids want to commit before their senior year so they don't have to worry about it.
Weis understands the importance of recruiting. I've read several times that he believes it is the life-blood of a program. His staff certainly reflects just how much of an emphasis he's putting on it.
