Wannstedt WTF?!?

Will someone please tell me why Pitt fans think he is their Messiah? He has never been a good head coach. He was miserable at Chicago and even worse at Miami. Even going into halftime, when he was interviewed he looked dazed and confused. All he could do was shake his head. He team was not well prepared and his specialty (defense), looked terrible and had a few stupid penalties! Please share your thoughts. By the way, I was laughing so hard when Wannstedt was getting interviewed at halftime. He looked so befuddled. I'm just curious why Pitt fans thought he would be the answer.

I hate him. All of Chicago hates him. He set the Bears back for YEARS with horrible drafting.

John Thierry? Are you serious?

They're reap what they sow on this one.

Why did they get rid of last years head coach again? I believe it was Walt. I realize hind sight is always clear, but I couldnt understand why they had to have a coaching change. They went 8-4 and went to a good bowl game.

I think it was a mutual thing with Harris and Pitt. They were looking to run him outta there and he was ready to move on too.

Wanny looked like he didn't care. I like Palko, I think he's a very good QB, but he can be overbearing at times. He was screaming and yelling at his coaches like a little baby.
Anyone see Weis get in Ronald Talley's face about that late hit, that was great. You can tell Weis bleeds blue and gold.

you can tell Wanny just isn't into it like Weis is. I thought I read somewhere that Pitt had to literally beg Wanstedt to coach there, I just don't think hes feeling it.

I think the call on Talley was marginal. He actually hit the in bounds and the momentum carried them well out of bounds. I was very glad Jackson was doing the game. He had to be dying when ND put it to Pitt. He needs to hang it up. His bias is even more obvious and he made at least 4to 5 big time errors.

LOL... between him and Fouts, it was a pity party for Pitt. Both of them should hang it up if they can't call an unbiased game.

I like when Fouts said there should be a late hit on Ndukwe after a Pitt receiver missed a catch and got hit. Fouts said during the replay that Ndukwe took about 3 steps after the ball had hit the ground when he hit the receiver. The replay showed that the ball had not hit the ground yet when Ndukwe lowered the boom. Neither Fouts or Jackson said anything after the replay. Crickets...Crickets...

Marginal or not, did you see Weis lay into him after that play on the sidelines? MERCY!! I thought he was going to bite his head off.

The ND bias is starting to become like paranoia from getting too high. Let's all just let it go and enjoy football.

Hey, I'm even watching little bits of Sportscenter again. But I still hate ESPN. Especially Stuart Scott.

Also, Corso picked Pitt on Game Day. I hope he picks Michigan.

Anyone watch PTI today, Wilbon wasn't there probably took the day off because ND won. I Forget the name of the guy that was filling in for him, but he had nothing good to say about ND(academics to high, can't get the major recruits etc). Kornheiser actually said some great things about us, and that ND is in alot of the top recruits short lists this year, and that ND can be great again because they're on TV every week.....
