We have been killing this kid all year, just figured I would give him props for being perfect on the day. We haven't been able to say that in awhile.

Yes, we've been killing him and he has returned the favor by killing us.

When he first kicked it it looked like it was going wide right but then hooked back,Icouldnt believe he made it. Way to go walker.

He is hooking all his kicks...which would not bother me, so long as they hooked between the uprights.

Great point. I remember that as soon as he kicked it, it appeared it would be wide left, so I said SHIT quite loudly, forgetting that I was out in public. Then the ball hooked back in.

LOVEMYIRISH, you nailed it. How do you fix that?

All the credit for him making the kick goes to the long snapper and holder!! They were, after all, the sole reason he was missing field goals.

LOL.

They were the start. I watched every down of every game last year. And I have a long memory.

Sometimes when your confidence is shaken before a huge audience, it takes a while to get it back, especially when the problem remains unfixed.

It appears that the problem is getting fixed. I am so happy for Walker. More happy for him than I am upset about the loss.

I'm glad he made the kick, his confidence will grow and hopefully he can make more kicks in the future, we really need him to make those kicks.

kickers always think about the last kick so...

I think many of you are making a great point with the hook, in Walker's kick. The hook is occurring because his approach is to far inside, almost stepping where the ball will be. Now his body has to compensate because he is to close to the ball at his kick, he has to lean back like sitting down in a chair, and then take all his force back to the right or his outside, causing the hook. You can tell this because his approach and kick take the r shape. I also agree you are only as good as your last kick.

He proved me wrong and I'm thankful for that! Good job Walker ... and I hope that is just the beginning to turning things around for that young man!
