Can't blame the kid really... you have to figure he just wanted to fit intop the school's rich history once he committed... so he robbed somebody

man, this is disappointing. Kid had everything going for him and still messes it up. Too bad someone didn't show him the right way to do things when he was growing up.

It would really depend on the upbringing of the kid. If his Mama and Daddy are fine outstanding citizens and he has just done this because he has got nothing better to do then I'd say your right. But if the kids mom is a crack addict and his dads no where to be found, and this is the way he was taught that adults are supposed to act then you can't put all the blame on the kid. Parents can ruin a kid just like they can bring one up right.

I understand your point, but i believe he was not in this situation, and at sometime a young man has to be held responsible for breaking the law, period. Right is right and wrong is wrong.

I'm not arguing that fact at all. He does know what is right and wrong and I do believe a young man needs to be held responsible for the things he does. But there are cases when a kid does what he has seen his entire life. The whole "do what I say not what I do" doesn't really work as all us parents already know.

I think we both have the same thoughts on this kid but I was just stating in my earlier post that (if it was the case) It was too bad he didn't have someone bring him up like he should have been brought up.

usually upbringing makes all the difference, but not always...

g&b: Gotcha. I should have noted that you had said that it would not be all the kids fault. You and I are on the same line here.
