There are traditions that should never be changed: the cleanness of the field (no logos), the uniforms, Alma Mater, etc. Then there are "traditions" like not having music. Having music helps the team meaning not having music hurts them. Is that a "tradition" we need?

The music helped. A lot. Place was rocking compared to a few other games I've been to. I'd say the average noise was about as loud as when Rudy caught the 75 yard touchdown vs scUM last year, aka the loudest I've ever heard it. When SC missed the FG, the place went insane. You could also hear a pin drop after the Crist fumble. Everyone was just standing in disbelief.

Also of note, the band of USC is absolutely horrible. They play the same boring song over and over again. One of the few positives of the game was the USC cheerleaders. Horrible at what they do, but damn are the hot.

Was it "Crazy Train"?

I agree the place was the loudest that I have personally ever witnessed and the playlist was awesome!! I got goosebumps when I'm shipping up to Boston came on before kickoff. I didn't even mind Crazy Train ... keep the opposing offense off the field and we wont have to hear it much anyway.
If the 12th man can bring that much noise when we are playing sub par football, imaging what that stadium is going to sound like we we start winning again !!!
My only gripe is that now I have to update my custom stadium sounds in NCAA 11

That's actually pretty interesting. I hadn't thought about the fact that it might be because the two sections are adjacent to each other. Was anyone sitting in the "N" section and could they hear the "D" section? (since the sound waves would be traveling across the field, meaning the student section would only get the vestiges of the sound waves, meaning I've been unfairly chastising that section for the past 4+ years haha)

Haha my mystery is solved. I was wondering why the D wasn't doing their part. I was in the student section and I could hear the We and the Are and the N, but I could never hear the D. I guess they were participating and I just couldn't hear it. That's kind of weird how that works out.

That was incredible! Everyone was jumping up and down and going crazy when that came on. Hope they at the least do that for the rest of the games, it got me so pumped up.

haha I've been flicking off and swearing at the "D" section for years. Oh well.
