The more and more I read on websites about certain coaches trying to pilfer players already commited to schools one name continues to rise to the top of the MANURE PILE>URBAN. Apparently there are now reports that he is using direct communications off these and similar websites to show how ND is going to fire Weiss and the players are unhappy. He is beyond a dirt bag. He has no ethics. He has no rules to his recruit standards. When his players get in trouble they get a wrist slap. I am SOOOOO GLAD we do NOT have him as a coach. He would have taken us down a path I am not willing to go. I will take 0-8 over him every year. I believe ND is a high class institution and I appreciate that. GO IRISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Remember that Urban is watching when you are bashing our coach and team. Don't give the jerk fuel for the fire.

From everything I've heard the recruiting class is still in very good shape. Now I am also aware of how Urban plucked Trattou from us at the last minute last year too! Its going to be interesting how it plays out and I expect CW & crew to have a few back-up plans incase a-hole poachers like this guy try and steal from us. There needs to be an early signing period plain and simple and hopefully it'll be sooner than later...basketball has got it and it pays huge dividends.

Oh we all know that Meyer will leave after this season, he's never stayed longer than 2 or 3 years anywhere, why? Because he cant recruit, lets just hope that this whole Tim Tebow is superman bullshit goes away in a few weeks when FL plays LSU. He bitched and moaned to get the Gaytors into the NC game last season, hopefully he never wins a SEC title or any title in the near future....Meyer sucks and the Gaytors arent that good...anyways....I agree Meyer is a ***K

Just landed

Meyer just landed Will Hill from St. Peter's Prep in Jersey City. (My old high school.) The kid can do it all. According to him, he chose Florida because of the other top recruits going there. We'll see how it pans out for Meyer at the Swamp. I don't like him much, but I'm not sure he is Nick Saban in disguise either, in terms of jumping ship every few years.

If his tactics are shady & negative, then yes...he's classless. But simply going after guys who have already verballed doesn't make someone classless. CW has pulled guys after they had verballed to other places as well. I think they're fair game until signed. As CW said last year, all the recruit has to do is say they're not interested.

Let's hope that CW and CB close out the class with a few more strong pickups and keep the rest of the guys on board.

As for settling for 0-8 every year...well...I'm not sure I'm ready to concede that.

He might stay a few more seasons in Gainesville, but no more. His meteoric rise to National Champs has, or sure, made his head swell. And he hop-scotched schools pretty easily to this point, so he's going to try to take it to the next level. As we've learned with coaching changes involving big time 1-A guys, "I'm happy where i am, and not looking to leave" means "Offer me some more cash, and i'll reconsider".

The Old Ball Coach, (or, as we UT fans wish to say, The NEW Ball Coach) left UF with nothing to prove, the NFL didn't work out, so he went to SC. Lou Holtz and Satan bombed out in the NFL, but Urban thinks he's better than that. Let him go to the Cardinals or Bills, and get put down to size

I live in Michigan where there are some Blue Ribbon Trout streams everywhere. Im an all Orvis guy. I have a battenkill reel made in England. Im primarily a dryfly fisherman. Streams only. You? Pigeon, Sturgeon, and Black rivers are great for trout.

Connecticut. I mostly fish the trickles around here for Wild Brookies (not many left in these parts) Though i will take buddies to the stocked "Trophy Trout Waters" to get them some action. Dries and Terrestrials, Orvis only, though i have 4 old Pfleuger beat up reels that do the trick, i guess it's a matter of pride i don't get a new one.

Where in MI? My family farm is in Lapeer County (North Branch) and i have family scattered all over, from Jackson to Sterling Heights, all the way up to the Soo

i live about a half hour from st peter's and will "the thrill" hill is better than advertised. u cannot say tht meyer doesnt recruit because landing him alone is big.

Did okay today with the stockers that are left, caught 4 'bows in the 12 inch range, dumped trout, mind you, not wild. Supposedly we'll have some rain tonight, though it's been too damn dry to fish the trickles for brookies, most of my regular spots don't have enough running water to drown your big toe.
