Loved the way Vandy threw the ball in the run out the clock situation
Agreed. We have been way too gun shy to get first downs with the ball and the lead. It gave Louisville another shot last week. You don’t need to take crazy risks, but with 2-3 minutes left, controlling possession is way more important than the extra 40 seconds of burned clock from a predictable run.

it’s like the coaches are still scarred from the OSU game last year. Can’t play scared.

Absolutely. It worked. If it doesn't they're idiots.

Seriously, though, the play calling in that game was right more often than not. That QB nailed just about every read, too.

Do we just use this thread for 2025 upset alerts?
Washington behind against Rutgers is probably good.
Hoping for USC over Michigan because 10-2 ND has beaten a goodish team then and probably both those are gone.
Other possibles:
Looking for Auburn over Georgia.
Arkansas over Tennessee
Virginia Tech over Georgia Tech
Texas over Oklahoma
Washington State over Ole Miss would be niiice.
Would like to see OSU totally demolish Illinois
Don't know about Bama v Missouri but always got to go for a Bama loss.

although this one worked well last year together with some good runs by the QB and solid contributions from the D it got us across the line for many weeks.

I think that IU has a good shot up in Eugene today. Bet them on the ML.

I’m very interested in this game. My brother went to Oregon. So, he has the nervous confidence. lol. I’m thinking Oregon by 10. But my gambling takes are usually wrong. Why I don’t gamble!!

I took Mizzou ML too btw. +3 isn’t that big of an upset at home.
Mizzou basically had Bama stopped on their first possession - it would've been 3rd and 15+ and the crowd was going crazy, but the defender got called for taunting after blowing up a play. Now Bama just scored.

And he had nothing to do with the play. Had to run close to 10 yards to taunt the Bama player.

Maybe edit the thread & remove the year so it can continue each year w/o having too deal w/ this issue each season.
