Turnovers & Penalties

We lost thaw battle of turnovers and penalties not too mention a botched field goal and the turnover that resulted in the lone Stanford TD and we still won. I would say that if we don't turnover the fumbles Golson's performance would have been considered slightly above average given the competition. He needs to work on that and I'm sure Kelly will do that. His starting pair on is riding on it just like Tommy's did. Refs could have called a lot more holding on Stanford. Still see a lot of upside if we can eliminate our turnovers and penalties and Kelly improves on his play calling.

Once EG decides to run he has to do a better job of putting the ball away, also he needs to take what he can and not allow himself to take the big shots he was taking at the end of those runs. Both seem very learnable. Stanford may have taught him this better than Coach could have.

Was it George Atkinson who last year ran through campus with a football in his hands at all times and welcomed students trying to knock it out? If Golson can secure the ball and the OL picks it up ill feel better.
