Just read an article, sources reliable and close to UF state Urban Meyer is now going to coach the Gators.

Im starting to think that the Notre Dame higher ups don't care about what happens to NDs respectable image.
Im going to have to get it through my thick skull that at ND politics matter more than winning on the football field. giving a suckass coach a 4th try to reach the national spotlight (top ranked) is reasonable.
Yes ND gave Losingham a contract but he has not fulfilled he's part, By not being where ND belongs. If you take over a team and do worse than the previous coach (which was fired) you too deserve to be fired.

Meyer said no one has contacted him and that article you read has been dismissed as heresey. The AD said he will not contact coaches until after the bowl game. FWIW.

now i know everything you read on the internet is not true, but i do know some one in the auburn admin got in trouble for wheeling and dealing during the season. so i would see why they want to keep it quiet.

i hope it is not true. because like i said he sounds as if he loves notre dame.

why would he make a deal if his team is in a bcs bowl?

good question...by that logic he wont be leaving at all because his team IS in a bcs bowl, yet alone going to notre dame.

let me see three times the salary... even more publicity which can only help his career... better recruits... a better chance of being in the run for the NC year after year after year... coaching on national television acouple times a season... being in a better conference playing better teams...hmm............. i wonder why would he leave

I'm not saying he won't leave, but there is no need for him to rush into a decision.

Urban Meyer will almost certainly leave Utah after this season and maybe, just maybe he stays one more year. I'd just like the timing to work so that he comes to Notre Dame.

Florida and even Ohio State could be possibilites, but we won't know until after the season is over.
