We should have one of the top 5 quarterbacks in the country with Weis and Cutcliffe back (and Quinn a junior). A kid knows he could come in, back Quinn as a Freshman, and assume the reigns as a sophomore. Good times.

In general, I am more excited about next year's class than i have been in a while. If I understand correctly, they are already meeting with these kids too. I think the malaise days will be over, based on the past month's effort.

Hope so. Anyway i just wanted to ask what everyones prediction is for the recruiting class next year. I know it is a little early but when you all say how good next years recruiting class should be next year i just wonder what you mean. I think we should have a top 5 recruiting class but i dont know if that is realistic and what yall think about it.

I would say a top-10 class is feasible...but I think it will be more like 10-15th ranked.

Personally I don't care about the rankings...as long as C-Dub can bring in plenty of guys who run a 40 in under 4.5 seconds.

With the new athletic facilities coming this summer (the best in college) that alone should get ND a top ten class. ND's facilies were hurting them in recruiting but that won't be a problem anymore.

I really think you'll see a Top 5 class. If we don't, I'd be surprised as we have recruiting monsters.

Look at how well Texas, Wisconsin, South Carolina, Ole Miss, et al recruited and then picture all of that effort HERE in South Bend.

I totaly agree. We have the best recruiters in the nation on our staff and anything short of the top 10 class next year would be unacceptable. I think there is reason to think we may have the top recruiting class next year. Again like 90% of the time my opinion is the same as Svo's. If it isnt ill let you know.

We hired the recruiting directors of a school in Texas, a school in Florida, and a school in the midwest, and will likely have a SuperBowl winning coach from a team in the northeast. Plus, we can still rely on old ties to Catholic schools in California like Mater Dei.

Further, we will have a brand new athletic facility and the prospect of early playing time. ND has only ever had two classes not ranked in the Top-10: This year's class and last year's class. It is simply abnormal for us to have anything less than top-tier talent.

Demand a top-10 class; Expect a top-5 class.
