hes a pocket passer in rich rod's spread option style offense. doesnt fit the schemes. plus they got tate forcier who fits the offense. and sam mcguffie left bc "His injury history and family issues are reported to be the reasons for his departure from Michigan."

Its definatly the system, hes just not mobile enough. Besides he knows hes going to get beat out by a true freshman next year in Forcier. Oh and I have seen some video on this kid......not to bad. They will be much better than last year.

Threet got screwed twice by coaching changes...he's a very sharp tack by all accounts. I hope he finds a school that can use him well.

threets not bad. he just needs to find a team that fits his passing skills and go with it. like central michigan. he has to sit out a year, lefevor is the go to guy there as a jr and he will be a sr next year so he will get the chance to start after his year out. and its in state

I agree I think hes a good pocket passer and will have more success in a different system. I think he did the best he could with what he had last year.

wait Sam McGuffie left?

Yeah hes gonna probobly play somewhere in Texas, hes going back there to be with his family. I think his dad has cancer or something so hes going back to be near the family. I might not be correct on who is sick but I think its his dad.

Last I heard it was a HEAVY heavy lean toward Baylor or Rice.

Hey, I live in Waco, Texas home of the Baylor Bears, and everything I have heard from the Baylor fans are he is going to Rice.

That would be pretty cool to see McGuffie and Robert Griffin III on the same team. Baylor might not suck.

They will be better but not much better. They are going to have ZERO experience in the defensive backfield and yet ANOTHER true fresman starting at quarterback not to mention the offensive line will be very young as well. Only thing Michigan will have next year is a DAMN good defensive line. Other than that I see 5-7 or 6-6 next year for Michigan.

Threet has had terrible luck. I live ten minutes from where he went to High School and he was easily the best QB I have seen in this area (not a huge D1 stomping grounds by any means). 6'6" Has a pretty good arm and smart as hell. Isn't a super talent but in the right system could be a good college QB.

I could not agree more. He's not a second rate scrub. This is a kid who twice in a row got the absolute WRONG coach for himself. Poor kid.

I'm still not convinced Rod is going to get UofM to the promised land. In each of his last two years at WV, his team lost games to underdog teams late in the season with NC title games on the line.

On another topic, I watched the Catholics-Convicts game today. The ND defense was knocking people on their asses all day. I've never seen a Weis team play with that intensity. Its Year 5 Charlie, where's the nasty? Charlie is getting top high school talent, but its not getting coached up to top college talent.

I agree, I have tried to be a Weis supporter but if we dont show some sack this year its over.

The promised land at Michigan is to beat OSU. John Cooper averaged like 10 wins a year, but was 1-10 against Michigan and lost his job because of it.
I'll put money on RichRod being farther ahead in 5 years than Charlie is.

I'll take that bet. All of your v-bucks vs. my v-bucks at the end of the 2012 season. Strictly W-L Top 25 finishes? Top 10 finishes? Name your terms.

That might happen, I'm not convinced either one is going to return their programs to glory. Also, White and Slaton were great players, Rod might catch lightning in a bottle again or not. Working in Rod's favor is that the coaching in the Big Ten is down.
