I have no doubts that they're on their way. I'm not going to overstate what they're going to do in 09-however, they're getting better-NO DOUBTS ABOUT THAT. USC empire will fall-and the world will make sense again...

CW and the coaching staff has 09 to do something-if it doesn't happen, all the peeps that don't like CW and the staff will be happy-because they're going to be out of there. I got faith in him though...give it one more year.

I think Carlo Calabrese is one of those players.

He's not nearly as fast as Clay or Cushing

Every year we think we have a player coming in that is going to make a difference. The only player I can think of that added something special to our team and played like his job depended on it was Blanton. Who else came out from day 1 and played with fire?

For whatever reason if these guys come in and don't play right away they leave. We need senior leadership.

USC empire comment is a wish.. Obviously. Lets say CW was out this year...do you really think that's going to help by bringing in someone new NOW? It would screw it up worse. In the USC game they were talking about one of USC LB that had to wait 3 years behind last years starter Rivers. The guy is going to be a first or second pick in this years draft and he sat for 3 years. He sat and probably learned his position better and had the benefit of watching a future first round draft pick play....

Depth is a great thing...we are building it for the first time in years.

I still like CW too and really wanted (want) him to succeed. It is clear he loves Notre Dame and understands Notre Dame - something no coach has had since Holtz. But I am done believing that he knows how to get the job done.

And yes, a new coach who knows what they are doing could have a lot of success with this team right away. What could possibly get "screwed up worse" than what we saw against Syracuse?
