Think about this situation!

Now we all know that the quarterback situation is still basically up for grabs for the Irish; but take this into consideration. I'm not really sure how this would pan out for us but we all know that most teams (especially Michigan) have a helluva time trying to figure out a dual threat quarterback. Would it be totally out of the question if I suggest that Notre Dame plays Demetrius Jones this year??? Especially against Michigan??? (see Troy Smith the last few years against Michigan) It just makes sense to me. Most teams just cant stop a running quarterback. Remember a guy named Kevin McDougal??? Do you remember how he just lit up Michigan with running the ball AND throwing? If not play him all season at least play Demetrius Jones against Michigan. I can see it already. Am I way outta line here?

I don't think that would be very likely. If Jones isn't the best qb, then I doubt he would start any games. I'm sure Weis doesn't want a situation like Tenn. a few years back where nobody knows who the QB is. Weis' leadership usually shows in the QB, and if nobody knows who the QB is, they won't know who to look to for leadership. Although, there is a possibility that Jones could get on the field at times, similar to Tebow last year (Again, it is only a possiblity, and slight at that)

I dont think that would be likely either. I would just like to see that kinda situation again with a running quarterback against Michigan.

back when we had lovechio, battle at WR, godsey and clark at TE, I wanted them to just be tossing the ball all over the field. can you picture it? take the snap, lateral across the whole field to arnaz battle, lateral all the way to the other side of the field to gary godsey, bomb down the field to givens or hunter. haha. i joke, but it's still interesting to think about.
