I love the recently added tradition of the players walking from the church to the stadium. It is something that I thought could never happen. Getting the chance to give high fives to my heroes is just an honer. I was shaking the whole time as BQ, Zibby(my fav. player) shook my hand and smiled. It sent chills up and down my spine. I saw Raeshon and yelled "I followed ur recruitment, thanks for coming to ND!" He looked back at me suprised I even knew his name. Also, getting to tell Zib that he was my role model was something I never thought I would get a chance to do. It is something that I will remember for the rest of my life. It shows that they actually appreciate all of us fans who stand by and look up to them. It is just a really nice gesture and I hope it will continue.

yea, it's not very recent. When did it actually start? I know it happened during Davie's time, I'm assuming he got it from Holtz...

I remember going to games when Holtz was the HC, and I remember watching them do the walk

sorry guys, I never really knew that it happend until I moved over here. I apologize, I just thought it was really cool of them and I never really heard anything about them. I was living in Cali so the news didn't travel over there I guess. Thanks for the smart ass remark kmac, I really appreciate it.

I don't care if someone's been a fan for 50 years or 50 minutes. I applaud any interest and love of the Irish.

21 years, sorry kmac but I just don't appreciate the remark but I'm over it. I consider all of you guys my friends and there is no need to talk negative. THanks Jersey, I appreciate it. I may not know what happend in the 60's or 70's but I have followed ND football closely my whole life and the program will always have a special place in my heart. I think I'm gonna cry....lol.

I didn't mean to attack or anything. I think it's cool too. And it's definitely become a bigger deal over the last few years. This year, the crowds were rather ridiculous at times, much bigger than any other year that I can remember.

Thanks for the info guys, it would make sense that Holtz started it. Wow, do I miss him. He was a great person and coach. I got to meet him when he had his book signing at the bookstore earlier this year. He is a class act.
