I appreciate the article but I don't put much stock into what's said in the media. If my boss made an awful decision which I completely disagreed with, I wouldn't walk around the building squaking to other employees about it nor would I comment to the media (and I actually do have calls from state/local newspapers about my company). You just don't do that....so don't put too much stock into what these kids are telling the press; a lot of the talk is rubbish. They're saying what they know they're supposed to say.
Would you honestly expect one of these players to say "Yeah, we got outschemed. The coaching staff is just doing a shitty job, they don't have it". No way in hell would you ever hear that. I'd prefer they interview anonymous students around campus who know the players on a more personal level. Sure, you'd get some bullshit but you'd also hear the truth which may be that they 100% support Charlie (I hope they do) but the truth could also be that they thought the coaching was bad.
