The Irish add much needed DL depth

In what seems like a suprise commitment to most, at least as far as the timing was concerned, DT Hafis Williams from Elizabeth, NJ commited to Notre Dame Tues night with his grandmother's approval and became the 11th member of ND's '08 recruiting class. Hafis is also the 5th defensive commitment and the 2nd on the DL. While he plays DT in high school he projects as a DE in ND's new 3-4 defensive alignment. He chose the Irish over Penn State, Maryland, Virginia, and Rutgers.
