Tax Refund/Tax Stimulus...

What're you guys getting with your tax refunds? If you aren't getting one, what will you be doing with your proposed $500 for single/$1000 for couple tax stimulus that should eventually pass the senate?

Being a single mom has its perks because my tax refund ended up being an arseload. So I paid down a bunch of bills, gave a good amount to my parents as a "thank you" for helping me out this past year, put some in the bank for my son's college fund...

And then a couple of toys for myself! ;)

$500 is all we get?!? I remember when Bush gave out the $600 refund, Michelle Obama said that wasn't enough, and would hardly buy a pair of decent ear rings. So we only get $500, hmmm.

As for my money, it will just go to bills likely, no toys. The ice storm just took a lot of my trees down (again...) like it did when hurricane Ike swept through. My neighbors $10,000 hot tubs has dodged bullets both times, being missed by inches this last time. I guess it's time to be neighborly and blow $4,000 cutting down my 2 humongous trees. Sad, what a waste of $$$$$$.

The rest gets blown on my kids club ball travel, as always. No fun for me.

This one will be less per person/family because there are other parts to the bill like tax cuts, restructuring certain government spending, etc.

I was mostly referring to the tax refund. I also get a pretty large kickback from the college because my grants and scholarships always work out to be more than my tuition is worth. Most of that goes towards gas and books though...but I'll still have some leftover that will come back as cash to me that'll go towards paying down my credit card...

Instead of funding banks, CEOs, failing insurance companies, etc, for 800 BILLION, they could give every man, woman, and child around $3000. That would stimulate the economy, at least for a few days. I know if we had an extra $9000 come in, I'd buy some shit!!!

But then, it's just a loan that you pay back anyway...so it's not worth it.

My tax refund this year will be going to a lot of diapers and formula. Apparently that stuff isn't free.

Oy I hear that! Luckily I'm done with formula.

And may I just suggest Target brand of everything? It's literally HALF the price and the EXACT same quality. I've NEVER had a target brand diaper leak, and I compared the labels of Target brand formula and Enfamil and they were EXACTLY the same.

Save yourself some money!
