I'm not jazzed about the Bowl either, but the only chance you get to go to a Bowl to bring in some revenue and exams can't be changed to a different date? I've never heard of that at any College at any level.

That is one of the things that makes ND unique. I, for one, am all for it. How are you going to rearrange the schedule? Do you force all of the non football students to take their exams early? How fair is that to them, to lose potentially a week of preparation? Or maybe you want the football players to take their exams apart from the rest of the student body? Sure. There's no chance that there will be any sharing of information there, huh? It's not like ND is Slippery Rock, and needs bowl money. Could they use it? Absolutely! But they don't need it.

The papers can say whatever they want, its NCAA rules.

As if the NCAA sanctions the bowls....

They might not, but that rule is in place.
