Sugar will be bittersweet

While I expect a great game from our boys, this will be the last time we see many of our favorite players in Irish uniforms.

I guess if you love something, you gotta let it go. It will be fun to watch some of them play on the next level.

It'll be sad to see Brady and the others go, but at the same time, the bowl game in a way marks the beginning of the new era. I know next year is Ty's last hurrah of craptastic recruiting, but it'll mark the beginning of the playing careers for many of our future ND stars.

We've been through this senior class's most exciting and deplorable times through the past four years. They gave us a lot of exciting games, and withouth such a hardworking and talented class, Coach Weis's first 2 years may not have been as good as they were. Hopefully they can go out with a win, and then usher in athe class of ND football, and see how all of this talent we have recruited the past 2 years can play. To me, that gets my blue and gold blood pumping!

I wish them luck in their final game, and I will miss them, but I am ready for a new identity. Im excited about the future, and the players that Weis is recruiting for his team. Hopefully we stop the bowl losing streak and start a new streak for the new kids to take over.

I think the Ty era is now officially over. Most of our upperclassman(except for the possible 5 years) will not see the 2 deep next year.

I have nothing but love for the seniors who are leaving. They came in when Ty was trying to turn the program around and got kicked in the ass for 2 years. They were called every name in the book by friend and foe alike. They endured the firing of a coach they deeply respected and liked, even if others didn't. They worked their asses off with a new coach and won 19 of 24 games and went to 2 BCS bowls, all while still enduring the endless criticism of friend and foe. They have helped a great program begin to rise from the ashes. It was their efforts and their accomplishments that paved the way for the great recruiting CW has been able to do. They deserve NOTHING but our thanks and respect. I will miss them and always appreciate the joy they brought me as a Notre Dame fan.

We'll look back and see that the first two years of the Weis Era, back to BCS appearances, were because of the solid foundation of this group of seniors that came in during 2003.

They endured some hard times and will go on to bigger and better things now. On and off the field.

It will be sad to see Quinn and company go but exciting to think of all the young talent that will be on the feild next year.

This senior class held down a lot of starting spots where the guy behind them knew they had no shot at taking the job. I'm excited to see who'll improve the most as they battle for a spot this offseason.

Look at how the basketball team is doing after losing Quinn and Francis. They're a bunch of guys who nobody really knows about and they're doing well. I think we'll see a parallel with the football team next year.

I just hope they win...nothing would make me happier...and frankly, they deserve a win.
