We are screwed in that department. ND will probably get 5-15k tickets. The rest will be sold locally or something...

God, it's going to be loud as hell and it will be a HOSTILE environment. Do not think for one second that a bunch of ND fans are going to show up in the $hithole of a state and out-buy those LOO-ZEE-ANNA rednecks.

I am already hating this. We really shoulda had Florida to play.

I am so tired of us going into hostile environements...couldn't we for once play in Ohio or Indiana or something? Christ...

Haha unfortunately, there is not warm weather in Indiana in January, so I don't think it would attract as many people.

Are you kidding? They would show up. Look at that OSU/UM crowd. It could be 3 feet deep in snow and that sucker would be sold out. Think of all the Suckeyes driving just to the next state to watch.

Early Doucette is pretty damn good. I REALLY hope to not here his name all night.

Doucette is pretty good but he is no Manningham or Jarrett.

As mentioned...we really need to get some tpye of running game going to open up the pass which will be tough against the LSU Run D

No, what I'm saying is a lot of people go to the bowl games for the weather too and its a nice vacation. I don't think as many people would travel from the south and such up to the game if it was in a colder weather environment and they don't like having bowl games in cold weather cities. The same goes for super bowls, except they play 1 in a dome every 5 or so years.

If that's the way you feel, then please, stay away from here. And FYI, as former resident of the Beaver State, I can say that Louisiana has nothing on Oregon, in terms of redneckness. At least we know how to party, and there'll be nary a flannel shirt in sight.

The rest of you, c'mon down.

The key to the game will be our OL. It has to control the line of scrimmage, which has been a problem all year long. LSU's got fast DEs and a pretty good secondary. They will watch the tape of UM and USC and see how getting up on Shark's grill takes him out of his rhythm, and how a fast aggressive front seven can throw Brady off.

Walker, Aldridge, Prince or Gale Sayers wouldn't matter if our OL can't assert itself against LSU. The more our offense is on the field, the less chance they can torch our defense. We know it, they know it.

The Bayou Bengals scare the bejeezus out of me. It should be an interesting game.

May want to forward this to Mr. Quinn. I'm sure LSU's D can't wait to get a piece of the Irish.

If we beat LSU, are we officialy BACK?
A win against LSU would be a step in the right direction. LSU isn't as high profile as some of the other opponents in the BCS, or even the ones ND played during the year. Winning the bowl game sets up a statement year next year, but unfortunately we graduate a whole bunch of players. Hopefully a reload rather than a rebuild situation. we win the bowl game and '07 is another expected BCS year.

I agree about Oregon vs Louisiana... They are rednecks with no accent up here.
