or so some people are saying. Most recruiting sites have him as a verbal but he still hasnt faxed his LOI. Mike Frank reported that there is still communication between Corwin and Starling. Probably got pissed when Moore recommitted. Good prospect, hope he is actually still considering ND. Just a rumor i have been hearing, so dont kill me if its wrong.

USC's football recruiting class grew to 18 players today after the school received a signed national letter of intent from defensive back Jawanza Starling.

Starling, from Tallahassee, Fla., announced Wednesday that he would attend USC, but Coach Pete Carroll could not officially count him as a member of the incoming class until the school received his letter of intent. The addition of Starling gives the Trojans' 2009 class seven players from states other than California.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Starling played at Lincoln High School, where he was a teammate of USC cornerback T.J. Bryant.

You are probaly right, but nothing is officially "over" until that LOI is signed. Maybe there is still a glimmer. That article said Carroll cannot comment until he has the signed LOI. You never know. Although I do think it is over...
