TSN put Quinn and Samardzija on their NATIONAL cover for the preview magazine this year.

I believe Quinn made the cover of the Athlon book as well. I'll venture to say Lindey's and Street & Smith will have versions with Quinn on the cover too.

Slap a gold helmeted player on the cover of a preview issue and it will sell.

Sports Illustrated will probably go with Adrian Peterson. My prediction.

Maybe it is just my opinion...but don't you all think that is a poorly written article? I understand the point he was trying to get across. However, gramatically, it does not make much sense. I bet he wanted to get into Notre Dame but got denied...went to a not-so-good liberal arts college, etc. I got denied by Notre Dame too...probably because I'm not catholic (or maybe because I suck at writing?)...still love the football team though thanks to growing up in South Bend.

I find it refreshing, if they can't say we are no longer a force to be reckoned with....I can always be assured they will find something.......

Matt Hayes is generally positive about ND; his claims to like ND in the article are true in my experience.

The negativity in that article has less to do with ND or Brady in particular than college football "hype" in general. I think it's a side-effect of the media-saturated age in which we live: I too am sick of the kind of shallow media pseudo-events Hayes decries here.

Notre Dame Is Notre Dame. It is what it is. Notre Dame has earned all the attention it receives. If any other school can do want ND has done over a very long period of time then those schools would have the same attention, the media contract, the same national following. NO school has done that.
