Rumors have been that both are disgruntled and leaning towards transferring.

Shaq Evans has struggled to get playing time and apparently is homesick from California.

Mostly rumors. Shaq is unhappy with the way its going at ND and is homesick but his parents have said he plans to ride it out for another year. Wood has not said a thing but alot of people suggest he might transfer as well.

I never really understood what happened to cierre wood. I thought he was supposed to be this amazing running back with awesome explosive return skills. Instead its been Riddick whose taken the reigns. any one know why? has he just been a bust?

This has been posted on the ND paysites for weeks, which really sucks because those were my 2 favorite rectuits from their class. Homesickness is normal, especially when you are isolated in a place far from home like South Bend, and not getting any playing time. Just look at Shaq on the sidelines...always looking sullen. Haven't heard a peep from Woods but there are rumors that he's thinking about transferring as well. While seeing Weis leave will prob lose us JC and Tate (prob would've left anyways IMO), it might save us Tate and Shaq.

Get ready for much more of these types of stories in the next few weeks. You will hear things about Weis that will be mean, and you will hear things about him 'playing favorites', not knowing how to run college type practices, etc. It happens all the time with coaching changes. Some of it might be true, some false, but it WILL be out there. You're already hearing about 'playing favorites' on the Rivals site from a parent of a player.

Let's just hope the new coach can keep this team together, as well as this recruiting class...

Cierre Wood was a beast in high scool and was passed by Riddick because of his kick returning skills. Wood has 4 years of eligibility so its a bit early to say he is over rated. Evans is not a baby he is homesick and has had a rough transition to South Bend. Again Evans plans to stick it out. Both names are mearly posters starting nonsense much like Gray last year going to MSU. Not saying that either will stay for sure but its just fans talking right now

You can't deem a player a bust after 1 year. It's not like Tate did anything his freshman year outside of the Purdue game. I think Wood will be a monster where ever he goes.

Wood has been rumored to be angry because he thought he would step in and become a contributor this season. He also has been rumored to have been angry over not getting his redshirt burned following Allen's injury.

Seems like another guy who came here expecting to be an instant impact player due to his HS reputation. If he wants to be "The Man" he better realize that is not how Notre Dame works. It would not surprise me to see him leave regardless of the coaching change, he can go become "The Man" at San Jose St if thats what he wants.

... he doesnt deserve playing time. he got his chance early against michigan and michigan st and made key DROPS. sounds fishy. i think he has talent, and could become a good wr for us. but if he is complaining about pt already, then it might be a good riddance.

The thing is he has gotten his opportunities. if you're going to be our 3rd receiver in the slot with Tate and Floyd as a true freshman you are going to have to step it up and make plays. He dropped balls, and thats why Kamara & Parris plays over him.
