Sam Young Visits Today

Sam Young, OT from St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, is in South Bend today for a vist. Rated the second best offensive tackle in America, he and his family will be visiting campus for the next two days. Young is highly sought after, a 4-5 star prospect. This is certainly an area of need for ND.

Lee Tilley, OT from Ohio, has said he will not attend Notre Dame's camp unless he receives an offer. He is doing this will every and all school that expresses interest. ND coaches have been to this kid's school in person, Weis included. His unwillingness to attend camp without a scholarship offer leads me to believe Weis and Co. might just move on.

Weis and staff are attacking the offensive linemen and defensive backs now. Things should start to take shape in the next 3-4 months.

Sam Young had some good things to say about ND. Met with Weis and Ianello, saying that he was impressed with the academics and tradition of ND are very appealing.

Young's mother said that of all the campuses they have visited, Notre Dame's was by far and away the most beautiful. It was the first time anyone in their family had visited ND before.

All it takes is one trip there and you know how special a place it really is.

they benched their RT last week after he got roasted by Ryan Kerrigan for sacks on consecutive plays. So yeah I guess this is another chance for him.
