When is Sam telling where he is going does anyone know?

It might be between the Army AA Game and Signing Day. He still has visits to take.

He was supposed to visit at USC on the 16th. He is supposed to visit ND on January 21 officially since he was already there back in late June.

Keep in mind he was supposed to visit ND on November 5th and had to cancel due to the hurricane.

I heard he was going to shout it from on top of a mountain and we won't be invited. Sorry. I can't stop.

Young said this in an article back in May:

"Something that's real big in my family is academics," said Young. "Getting a degree from whatever institution you choose is first and foremost because you have 50-years after football.

"Right now I haven't really decided, but I'm thinking of majoring in business. That could change five times before I get there (to college), but that might be one of my main-points of interest.

"As far as athletics go, how I get along with the position coach and the strength coach will be important. What offense they run, and whether I really want to be a part of the program will be a factor. Finally, how I fit in at the school is important. What piece of the puzzle am I at that particular school?"

"Stanford academically - you can't get much better than than," Young continues. "But their football isn't USC. Now, USC football is great, but they aren't Stanford academically. We don't know if Sam wants to go get the best education, or if he willing to settle a little lower for a football-driven choice."
this is also an interesting quote by sam young. ND has the best of both worlds in football and academics.

It does sound like Notre Dame is his best option if he wants the best of both worlds. They take ballroom dancing at SC and Stanford's football team is consistently awful.

All Sam has to do is look at ND's depth chart and realize two things:

1. He could eventually replace LeVoir at right tackle in 2006 or Harris at left tackle in 2007.

2. "Where the hell are all of their o-linemen? Who was recruiting there before Weis?"

No one Sam. No one.

Yeah, the last staff was abysmal. We've got depth issues at multiple positions because of them.

no kidding...it's like ty wasn't thinking about football anymore. my guess is that we ruined a perfectly laid out plan of finishing up his contract and in a surprise twist, joining the pga tour rather than taking up another program. sorry ty. we were a little insentive toward your goals.
