I heard Ron Prince who just got canned as the Head Coach of Kansas St. is the frontrunner to take the job as our O-line coach AND Offensive Coordinator..he served under Al Groh for 5 years at Virginia and did a real nice job there which got him the HC job at Kansas ST...I'm happy cause this guy can motivate players and has a fiery personality which we need not to mention a good track record...still wish we'd go after Chow but it remains to be seen..

Chow would be the better choice. He's a very proven commodity and he'd be a kick in U$C's collective a_ _!

stealing Chow would be unbelievable.

Yes, but also unlikely. I read a piece on Chow when they canned him from the Titans saying he loved Southern California (the geography, not the skool) and would only want to coach there or retire. Seredipity that he ended up at UCLA? I dunno, but he's not likely to come to the midwest for anything less then a HC job.

Is it normal to have one dude be O-Line AND OC coach? I don't know squat about him, but it can't be worse than the past few games!!!

From the UVA Rivals site today...

-----------------
Of course, as mentioned above, the younger Groh's departure means someone else will be calling plays next season and early speculation centered on one man; former UVa assistant coach Ron Prince.

Prince was fired at Kansas State this season after three years in Manhattan. He compiled a 17-20 record with the Wildcats.

Previously, Prince was on Al Groh's staff at Virginia from 2001 through 2005, where he served as the offensive line coach for two seasons and then as offensive line coach and offensive coordinator from 2003-05.

One source close to the situation had told CavsCorner shortly after the Cavaliers' season ended that in his opinion Prince "would be the next offensive coordinator at UVa."

However, that same source earlier today now termed such a move "doubtful," citing that the former Kansas State coach could be in line for another head-coaching gig.

Additionally, when asked about a return to Virginia, Prince told Richmond Times Dispatch writer Jeff White: "I don't anticipate that happening."

Chow had no idea that he was leaving the Titans as soon as he did. He was shocked to say the least. That was one those things like Meyer leaving Utah, Heimerdinger became available and Titans had to make a move quickly to get him. Looks like a genious move at the present.

Maybe he's going to be more of just an O-Line coach and Weis is still going to call the plays as true Offensive Coordinator? Not sure, but it wouldn't surprise me at all.

All I know is something has to change. I don't care who it is, as long as the job gets done and our offense starts producing lots of yards and points.

How's this for a new O Line coach....Andy Heck... tackle and captain of 1988 national championship team... 12 year NFL pro... current O Line coach Jacksonville Jags... could be a good fit

hes been my wish for a OL coach for awhile now....only problem is it would be a downgrade in job considering where he is at right now.

Considering the Jaguars situation, this would be a good bet. I would take a younger, former NFL player over latina. ND needs to get this guy.
