#1 They venerate Woody Hayes, who was a bleeding a**hole. We all remember (or have seen the video) of the Gator Bowl when he went onto the field and punched a Clemson player. A pure class act all the way. When asked why he went for a two point conversion after a TD late in a rout, the Woody answered "Because I couldn't go for three."

#2 Maurice Clarett and the whole Crimal Element thing they've got going there.

#3 The treatment of visitors by O$U fans is an embarassment to college football.

#4 Ditto for the helmet stickers.

#5 Columbus is the armpit of the Midwest.

#6 It's really fun to say "Oh how I hate Ohio $tate."

#7 Sweater vests are teh gayest garments in the sartorial universe.

#8 A buckeye is a useless nut.

The defining moment for OSU fans for me was last year's Fiesta Bowl. I was watching the game at the Orlando Gamewatch. I was the youngest person there at 34. 99% of the people there were either over 60 or families with small children. Several OSU fans sat in a seperate section of the bar knowing it was a ND bar. In the last few seconds of the game they found it necessary to walk into the ND section and begin yelling, "Hey, it's awefully f'n quiet over here. I don't f'n hear any f'n cheering for your sh*t team!" Mind you, not a what word was uttered to these people at anytime during the game. These were older fans and families just enjoying the game.

As much as UM fans can get on my nerves sometimes(like any other rival), OSU has a special place of hate in my heart.

Right. Wouldnt want people to think he's an animal.

Maybe they'd have put him in a cage next to Jackie Sherril and Dennis Erickson.

Just pointing out the accurate FACTS of what happened. Not condoning it. The guy is dead.

Lou Holtz thinks quite highly of Woody Hayes, as he was on his staff at tOSU years ago.

These are the same assholes that were cheering for Ohio State over Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl ten months ago.

Sorry if I'm not excited about Michigan winning this game. Notre Dame could be unbeaten right now, so instead we have to hope for scUM and that goddamned Poodle to win this weekend.

This picture is sure to produce puke. Braylon Edwards, Matt Leinart and OU's Mark Clayton.

The only thing that was ever stiffer in Chicago is the wind and dead people.

Ohio State? Michigan? God help me. My wife says that me rooting for Michigan on Saturday must be one the signs of the apocalypse. Thank goodness I'll be in Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday, and will only have to cheer for scUM under my breath while seeing the game's updates on the scoreboard and hearing them on the P.A. If you're at the game I'll be one the one in a Notre Dame jacket and an 82nd Airborne Division hat. I'll cheer for the Irish but I can't root against Army.

You are correct--the incident began on the sideline. Hayes was subsequently pushed onto the field.

In case you've never seen this incident, here is is courtesy of youtube.

This happened when I was ten months old.

But at least I got to live through the Bobby Knight years.

Holtz said, in his book, Hayes once took a projector and threw it through a glass windowed door.

Holtz was at William and Mary the following season.

#1 Yet Lou Holtz as a jackass who grabbed facemasks and shouted at people and Charlie Weis curses which qualifies both as embarrassments...

#2 It's all a giant ESPN conspiracy against the greatest program in CFB history

#3 When you fall in the same category with Miami... it's not good see #2 for this as well^^

#4 A football team wearing flowers on their helmets??? nuf said

#5 Goes towards explaining part of their complex... about three hundred more factors are needed adequately explain the degree of said complex though

#6 Cheers to that

#7 And they make fun of CW's Bellicek like garb???

#8 UM and ND may be rivals at from time to time really dislike each other but the bottom line is their is and always has been respect there... something that tOSU fans don't have for ANYTHING I have seen... In short... GO BLUE!!! Good luck on Saturday, here is one Domer through and through who will be pulling for you

BTW, reps points...

I have stories like this too... I can honestly say they are USUALLY unprovoked... this is the main reason I have compared the complex they have with the complex Red Sox fans have with the Yankees... tOSU fans go out to ruin other fans day as much as they do to root for thier own team... I can only say that for Red Sox and Buckeye fans...

And the only reason Alex Boone isn't playing? He's injured. Boone and Arrington would make for a nice pre game photo for a Big Ten advertisement.

Neat little story here. Didn't assault the girlfriend, yet was still 20 years old, driving and intoxicated while doing so.

Michigan coach Lloyd Carr has said that he does not believe the facts of the case, as he knows them, warrant suspension.

[sarcasm]...but later admitted that he would feel differently if Michigan were playing Central Michigan this week. "You've got to do the right thing, especially when the game is much more winnable," Carr said.[/sarcasm]

Here is where I'm confused: Are they throwing out the drinking thing altogether?

If he says he didn't assault her and she says she wasn't assaulted, what's the issue? There is no mention of the drinking and driving situation.

I lost track of the case until today when it resurfaced.

What ever happened to the Reggie Bush scandal?

Yeah. Good question. No one did jack squat about it.

Typical. This is what happens when the NCAA and Conferences have virtually no power. What, they're going to bite the hands that feed them?

You're right. The entire Big Ten season rap sheet is shorter that Miami's or USC's...

What ever happened to the Reggie Bush scandal?

I have these discussions with friends who went to USC. And what the f did happen to the Bush scandal. He still does not believe me when I tell him that USC can do no wrong in the media's eye.

Accusation: USC players received money from boosters.
Media response: Ah, how cute.

It's known as bean bags here in Illinois and is quite popular in the Chicago area.

I own a custom made Notre Dame set myself.

I just refuse to call the game "cornhole."

Sure, I've seen the game before, it's just that they call it cornhole...

Then there's this guy, another great example of the O$U fan base.
