Okay, now that it is all over, give your personal grade on your teams 2008 NFL draft and your reasons why:

I give my Steelers an A-. I say they got excellent value for 1st and 2nd round picks by choosing Mendenhall and Sweed where they did, then filled needs with the best available picks left. And Dennis Dixon was a truly intriguing pick, expecially as late as they got them. Great job!

Well...I suppose not. I take it you were not pleased. Or, you just think the very idea is stupid. I'm fine either way.

Well, let's take a look. Phil Savage traded away almost our entire draft this year and he's gotten a good start on crapping away next years. Yeah, I'm pretty displeased.

Well, they did well last year so its something to build on . And, as an aforementioned Steelers fan, it might actually be a good thing. Just for S & G, what did he trade it away on?

I love Kenny Phillips from Miami as my first pick.

Terrel Thomas I'm not so sutr about. He's been hurt alot through out his college career. But he fast and he can play corner and safety.

Mario Manningham was a steal as a third round pick. He lied at the combine's about fail drug test's that why he drop so far.

Since Jerry Reese already proving to be a helluva evaluator I trust his lower rounds pick will pan out also.

I will give him a B-.

I believe it's next years 3rd 5th and sixth...

Now before you say anything, that may not seem like a lot....but coming into this draft we didn't have anything until the 4th. This year's picks were definate reaches...especially with the Browns giving up more future draft picks. ugh.... :)

Hate to admit it, but the Steelers did very well by the way.

I was at the draft and we all thought the Browns had a good draft. They needed to improve the defense and the tried. The Giants proved all it take is a couple of draft pick to get you over the top. I not calling them Super Bowl bound. But I do think they are on the right track finally.

He also ran a 4.59 40 at the combine (later improved to 4.38 at UM pro day), and scored a 6 on the wonderlic. Those didn't help.

I have to agree with HCTI. I'm not pleased with this years draft for the Browns, but I really have liked all the things that the Browns have done. I trust that Savage (the Browns GM) knows what he is doing.

Me too. And we gave our 3rd round pick away for next year. I just hope our D-Line is kick *** next year, helping the linebackers and secondary more.

Redskins

gonna have them a B. i really like what devin thomas, fred davis and malcolm kelly. i think the skins' offense will be pretty good in the coming years. got some depth at O-line on day 2, but still didn't get immediate help on the lines.

I have lived in Dallas/Fort Worth for awhile and I am a Cowboys fan. (not a big time follower though, I am certainly more of a college guy)

I'm not too thrilled with our draft, probably a C.

I think Jerry Jones should have taken Mendenhall instead of Feliz Jones, but his love for Arkansas got the best of him. Mendenhall is just as fast but is 20 pounds heavier and is a real bruiser.

I like the Jenkins pick, he fills a need at CB for the Cowboys, we need a good coverage corner since Roy Williams is obviously clueless about how to cover a WR (but he can hit hard).

Bennett at TE from Texas A&M wasn't bad, but I think there were one or two better TEs on the board. I actually wish we wouldn't of got rid of Anthony Fasano.

I don't understand taking Choice in the 4th round, I would of liked to see us pick up an offensive linemen or WR in this slot instead. We didn't need to take two RBs in the draft.

The final two picks, Scandrick and Walden weren't bad, but we still didn't fill our need for a WR or OL. I guess Jerry is planning on signing a free agent WR.

I haven't seen a UDFA list for the Cowboys yet, but there are several pretty good players from Texas schools that we can certainly give a chance. Guys like Tommy Blake, Chase Ortiz, and David Roach from TCU along with some solid Texas, Texas A&M, and Tech players.

LOL...Speaking of which...Jerry Jones must love seeing the (216)-(440) area codes popping up everytime the phone rings. He's been raping the Browns for picks for 2 years now. lol

As an Eagles fan, I'd give the team a C+. Even though they made the right move by trading their 1st round pick, it was difficult to watch because they didn't have a 1st rounder last year either. What made it more bearable was that they got a 1st rounder for next year back in return. I loved both 2nd round picks: Who wouldn't want Trevor Laws on their team and Desean Jackson is exactly what the Eagles need for their return game. Where the draft got weird wa the 3rd through 7th rounds. They didn't seem to address needs and they seemed to reach on several picks. Overall, they made a great trade and drafted two studs, including one of my favorite ND players of the last 4 years. Go Eagles!

I'd give the Steelers a B. I agree with the first two picks. Good value for both. I felt that they reached a bit with their third round pick. I think that he would have been there in the fourth. I would have preferred that they drafted a big OL like Anthony Collins instead. Dixon was an alright pick. Again, would have preferred that they draft a DE at that point.

In summary, I think that they took the BPA concept too far.

Titans draft sucked D-

The only reason I don't give them an F is because they got the fastest guy in the draft.

These guys have sucked it up at the draft boards the past 5 years and I don't see any improvement in the future.

WE NEED A WR! A playmaker. I was hoping for Deshawn Jackson from Cal who could have doubled as a wr and pr but guess they didn't see it my way.

I really thought the Titans were going to take Jackson, or even Malcolm Kelly or someone like that later on.

I give the Cowboys a B. I wanted Mendenhall but I will take F. Jones. Jenkins along with Pacman Jones (traded a 4th round pick) gives Dallas some depth at CB which was needed. They should have kept AF and drafted a WR in the 2nd (still think Bennett will be good). Choice has great value for a fourth round pick. I don't know much about the other two. Jerry Jones got a little trade happy in the 3/4 rounds round which pissed me off since there was some good talent available.

i will give them a D. Who were these people we drafted? Other than the first round pick I had not heard of half these schools let alone the players. We reached on every pick. The kid in the fourth round was not on the NFL's draft list. You get players like that in the 7th round. We drafted speed, everyone in the NFL is fast, this is not college football, speed is overrated in the NFL b/c everyone has it. I think our new GM thinks he is smarter than everyone else. I hope he is right.

I think your right about the GM. I just don't understand why they don't concentrate on the needs of our team. We spent a first round draft pick on a backup running back and I assume they will use him as a punt returner. Does that make sense? Not when you need a reciever it doesn't, Jackson from Cal would have been a good pick for the titans he has both receiving and punt return skills.

I'm not watching these idiots draft next year, I've had too much.

We signed Chris Carr from Oakland, who is a great returner. We did not need a return man. If we did not like the players then we should have traded them for picks next year. We NEED to sign a #1 WR. The RB looks too much like Pacman for me.

I give the Brownies a "D"...would be an "F" but the ILB they picked up seems like he might make an impact. We drafted a WR and TE...what what? And we did not draft (1) secondary player...we have NO depth in an already WEAK secondary!!! Draft picks are your future and were you build depth. Free-agents are nice but not if you have to give away your whole draft for (2) years GRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Any thoughts on the Matt Millen Mess called "Detroit Lions Draft".... I was shocked we traded down two picks to pick a game that would've been there in the 3rd round

agreed! I'm not sure what the deal is with these guys, they are anti reciever, they want to wait til the 3rd or 4th round to get a reciever every year, which for us always seems to end up in a bust. hmm hmm Tyrone Calico...... Lets drop the freaking hammer and get a play maker geesh!!!

From Wikipedia:
"While an average football player usually scores around 20 points, Wonderlic Inc. claims a score of at least 10 points suggests a person is literate..."

We got him in the 2nd round. He ran the fastest 40 so we took him. Kind of like we did this year.

Lions are a joke of an organization PERIOD! How Matt Millen has a job still is beyond me. He must have one tight A**hole or gives one helluva B**wjob to William Clay Ford. That team will never amount to anything EVER! I got an idea..... Lets just stay away from people who's name starts with an "M". Moeller, Morningweg, Marriucci, Marinelli, Millen???? Are you seeing a pattern here of failure? I feel bad for whoever the LIEDOWNS take because they end up sucking or getting traded anyway. Piss poor organization. Hands down the worst sports franchise in the history of sports. Sorry WeisWeisBaby.... I like you, I just dont like the lions.

As for the grade on the draft??? a big fat "F" for failure once again.
