Punter in this class?

Since Geoff Price will be graduating after this year, I am wondering why we have not shown interest in luring a punter to South Bend. I guess Brandon Walker is a decent punter, but I thought we would try to go after a true punter. Does anyone know if we are looking at any?

What about Tamba Samba, the kicker we recruited, now a freshman on the soccer team. IIRC he was not going to be available to the football team as a freshman, but could tryout as a sophomore.

Which assistant coach is responsible for recruiting Mississippi and how can I get his e-mail address. There is a punter here that just came out of the woodworks (won MVP at the recent Ray Guy punting camp.) Want to make sure ND knows about him if they are interested in a punter.

All coaches are sharing the special teams now, but i would say call coach polean. I had a list of who to call but accidently deleted it in deleating all 2006 info and pix to save computer room. Try Official ND site, it will list numbers of all coaches etc. Scroll around a bit.

I don't think Ricochet's comments were in reference to there being no offer to a punter/kicker this year. He was referring to the statement about 'wasting scholarships on kickers'. If Weis thought it was a 'waste of scholarships' he wouldn't have taken kickers in back-to-back years.....
