Only a few loses in Top 25, Texas Tech (who I think is a pretender based on incredibly soft schedule), Auburn (in a tough OT game), Tennessee (in what should have been the upset of the day that they fumbled away), MSU (throttled), and Virginia (by a baseball score).

A couple were idle: Miami (Wilma), BC, UF, WVU (Wilma)

USC will lose some 1st Place Votes but holds #1,
Bama leaps over UGA,
Tex Tech plunges down to about 16,
PSU jumps into Top 10,
FSU rightfully passes idle Miami,
ND and OSU pass idle BC,
Auburn drops but stays ahead of idle UF,
Michigan, Louisville, and Fresno close out the TOP 25

N.B. Keep in mind this is my guess what the pollsters will do. I'd place ND a couple of places higher 8+/- but doubt the Coaches will.

USC and MSU should have lost to ND but they didn't.

Bama beat the Vols by 3 in regulation on the same day UGA beat Arkansas by 3 in OT.

Tennessee's 3 loses are to UF by 16-7, UGA 27-14 and Bama 6-3. The Vols beat UAB 17-10, Mississippi 27-10 and LSU 30-27 in OT.

The Razorback's 5 losses are to Vanderbuilt 28-24, Southern Cal 70-17 (that's not a typo), Bama 24-13, Auburn 34-17, and UGA 23-20 in OT. The Hogs two wins are Div II Missouri State and LA-Monroe.

Bama and UGA both have played soft schedules so far. Bama's tough opponents were UF who they annihilated and TEN who they barely got past.

UGA's tough game (singular) was TEN who they beat by 2 TDs.

Bama beat UF with Prothro the WR with the floppy leg. Without Prothro, Croyle passing skill isn't realized but the defense is awesome.

UGA beat TEN with Shockley, the QB that went down against ARK. Without Shockley, Arkansas outscored UGA.

If Bama played UGA this Saturday, Bama would win. Hence Bama over UGA.

BTW, living in the Heart of Dixie, I've seen most of their games. You can't get away from SEC football here.

Tennessee has the most putrid offense and special teams I've seen. That front four on defense is awesome, but they have nothing else.

Their o-line is big and physical, they have a 270 pound fullback and they can't run the ball or score.

Hopefully they don't look like world beaters against ND's defense.
