Minter is gone, I was on the chat session with the South Bend Tribune (I posted the link here) writer and he said for a FACT that Minter was fired and was for almost two months but was given the option to finish out the year and a severence if he did not announce it. Minter is toast, no and's if's or butt's about it.

Can you post the link again? I think some of us tried it but it didn't work ... sure would love to get this Minter stuff beyond mere speculation.

Someone has to go under the bus for this last season.

Regardless of how much credit he can be given to the poor play of the defense, the program is at a low right now and is getting beaten up pretty badly in the national media.

Now you can say that Charlie says he doesnt care what the media says, but if there is one thing Weis learned recently is that he should. The media rank the teams and vote on the awards.(Quinn 3rd in the Heisman voting WTF?)

Now OSU has taken a little heat off us by laying their egg, but nothing invigorates a program like a sexy new hire.(see Alabama)

someone who took a weather class in college told me that 30% chance of rain doesn't mean that there's a 3 out of 10 chance that it's gonna rain, but it actually means that the rain system is actually covering 30% of your area. there's also a theory that the percentage means how long it will rain. like if there's a 50% chance of rain, it will rain half the day. it's all one big mystery.

No Weisbank, I wouldn't bet my house even if there was a one percent chance of him saying it. Eric Hansen in his chat said that his sources told him that Rick was fired after the USC game, another writer did say a 70-30 chance. Most EVERYone in the media connected to the football program is repeating the same thing. Of course nothing is set in stone till we hear it from Charlies mouth, but I am willing to bet FI9's Ty bobble head collection on Minter being fired.
